Sir many people I know refrain from reminders and Islamic lectures as after watching/hearing they tend to feel more threatened from Islam and hopeless because of the unfortunately relatable sins with their punishments mentioned, so they altogether just don't watch anything which makes all of us so deprived. But since I've discovered YC, specially these lectures I recommend these because these are full of hope and solutions. There is no doubt I also relate to things I shouldn't be relating to, as a Muslim but the struggle to give up and to make more efforts for my religion seems easy.
These lectures have such a subtle, long lasting and positive effect on me Alhamdulillah! You as a speaker are so eloquent and soft spoken even my nano is so impressed "rashk" as she would say, you pass your knowledge for our betterment in a very explicit manner Ma Sha Allah.

May this help you to help in overthinking...
Read and ponder on Quran and think according to it...
I am giving you a few example Insha Allah will help you
When you eat something....
1.Alhamdulillah I am eating this wonderful food there are a lot of person who has not even this...
2. This food could have been even poores quality Alhamdulillah I am having this Quality of food.
3. Insha Allah the food of Jannah will be better.
When you go out you see any animal eating anything...
Think of the Qur'an Aayat...
1. These animals have been given their provision they are not carrying these provisions still Allah is feeding them... Similarly Allah is feeding me and feed me...
Bottom line is do a lot of tadabbur while reading Quran and tafakkur when you are seeing anything.,
And most importantly before doing tafakkur say Audubilllahi minnashaytani rajeem so that this shaitan may not distort your thoughts.....
Ps: These are my personal experience and thought coz my mind is also like this...I am just trying to make the best use of this to attend Allah's pleasue..
I am not any aalim, I just advised you for probable help etc please forgive me for any mistakes...

Holy Quran 4.6---And Test the ORPHANS [in their abilities] until they reach Marriageable age. Then if you perceive in them sound judgement, release their property to them. And do not consume it excessively and quickly, [anticipating] that they will grow up. And whoever, [when acting as guardian], is self-sufficient should refrain [from taking a fee]; and whoever is poor - let him take according to what is acceptable. Then when you release their property to them, bring witnesses upon them. And sufficient is Allah as Accountant.

Very Good Sir @Muhammad Ali. Here I want to add some points the same human psychology is also discussed in Surah-e-takasoor in 1st three ayat where Allah (SWT) tells us that HE indulge us in pursuit of collecting money and just money even we reach to our graves.
Then again in Surah-e-Yaseen in 4th Ruku HE ask us that don't you make promise with me of not Worship devil than why you do.
