If the vid looks a little more blurry than usual, we were trying rendering with Frame Blending... I think it looks pretty good, since the other 30 FPS videos looked way choppier. It's just for UA-cam tho, the 60 FPS version is the original encode.
Work on Cool Edge beginning as soon as possible.
If you have any questions that have already been answered, you can direct them to the friendly deforestation truck driver. He seems to be in a good mood today.

imo hd unleashed day stages had the best level design of any sonic game, colors and generations close second.

Love how they added more rings to the water sections to compensate for the boost running out faster when used on water in Generations.

Wow, this looks amazing. The beginning was always my favorite part of this map, as well as the part where you're just traversing over the large bodies of water. It looks amazing seeing this running in Sonic Generations.
I could not be more excited for this mod. Very impressed by the consistent hard work done by everyone involved with the project.

There are a lot of paths on the stage, Melpontro just decided to take that one (and his gameplay method is always boost to win, it could be freakin classic chemical plant and he would be boosting at all times)
I'd honestly like to see a car traveling faster than sound manage to pull off a 90 degree turn in about a second and change without completely destroying itself in the process.
The lighting is diferent due to generations rendered, but the true 1080p and the lack of framerate drop takes this stage to the next level of beauty.
I love this mod.... Adabat has never looked so amazing running on the generations renderer and just.... 60 fps... beautiful.
Although the truck seemed out of place this looked beautiful and made me wish they added a DLC with more stages to Sonic Generations.
Dang. Thats is spot on accurate to the 360/PS3 version. I got u leashes for cheeistmas this year and its exact except for the new generations parts but its exactly the same. Love the HD graphics btw
Ah, okay. I actually learned that using Vegas 12, it automatically does the blending for me, unless I turn it off. Thanks, I appreciate the information you've given me!
I love this stage! :) It looks wonderfull, mostly the part that in the console runs at 10/15 FPS, it's FAST!! And the work done in the last thorns are great, the switch is moving with it! Sincerely i love this work and the other stages... THANK YOU GUYS! :D

I agree with him. Knowing the ridiculousness of the truck to begin with, I'm wondering if he should appear two times before the big water section, then rush out of the ocean to chase you down through the forest a third time before careening off a cliff.
We use Adobe After Effects, actually. You can do frameblending automatically like in this video, or blend them manually like in the trailer (something about me likes the frameblending in this a little more though? The quality is nerfed but the motion is top notch}
I agree. Sonic looks much better in 60fps. Gives much more to admire in the sense of speed.

Ha, seeing those water pillars fall without the game turning into a slideshow was cool.
This has to be my favorite Modern 3D sonic stage to date. And it will be awesome playing it without the slowdown from Unleashed.
Also a request, you can probably remove the laserbot section from the jungle part after the first rail section. The DLC for unleahed (Act 1-2) actually removed that part from the stage, and it was alot more fun to run through.
But that was probably just because the DLC was trying to optimize for less slowdown.

It depends on how powerful the system is. Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3 came out around 2006, so even if they were high-end back then (and honestly Wii was not) they couldn't hold a candle to today's computers and consoles.
That said, the fact that I can play this stage on my laptop at 60FPS is pretty amazing. And surprisingly that GUN truck works well in this stage. Reminds me of what a Generations version of Green Forest could've been like.
That ending was beautiful. In a "My god, that's such a cool interpretation of the original" kind of way.
Not to be incredibly demanding, but I don't suppose anyone's ever thought to also do the Act 1-2 levels, have they? I'm guessing it wouldn't be quite as much work as recreating the levels from scratch, but that's also why I don't work in programming.
This was fucking amazing! It was gorgeous and smooth. Like Sonic's blue is just a very smooth, very nice texture to it. AGAIN...awesome!

Hey there, have a theme for the egg fighters how about making them in hawai themed shirts ya know with a coconut on their head or something, i first thought make them like canibals but then i realised the egg pawns already are canibal themed i believe, just a suggestion mate, good luck on cool edge and re-texturing jungle joyride.
the GUN truck looks awesome in this stage too i also swa it was a bit recolored it blends better with the jungle theme nicely done TEAM UNLEASHED!!!! :D
I wish Sonic Team would bring back the ability to use Light Dash on ANY trail of rings, not just on certain ones. Even though players spend most of their time blasting through stages, and probably wouldn't even bother using it, it would still be nice. It might just be a personal prefrence fueled by nostalgia in my case.
Colors doesn't require such exact timing, but Unleashed definitely.
visual glitch. Unleashed had a one-time use object that warped Sonic to a different area of the level. Generations doesn't have that, so we used a Chemical Plant tube that shoots Sonic to that part of the level instantly.
There might be a way to fix that glitch, but for now there isn't.
Also, nice touch with the GUN truck.
There is a ridiculous amount of rings in this level.
Simple motion blur. Human eyes can still notice the difference between 30 and 60 FPS, even with blurring, but it is distinguished pretty well.
Some new voice clips and I'm pretty sure this would be every Sonic Fran's dream.

Yes. Paraxade0 did a ring attack of this stage on the 360, and got over 1,700 rings if I remember correctly.

Wow, we were able to do something in less than 3 months that took SEGA and Sonic Team a year to do.
The framerate looks so good, pc really is the best console.

I think this is the first time I've ever seen someone max out their ring count in any Sonic game o_O
Watching this some more, I think the truck segment might be too short. Video games always work on the rule of threes, and it only gets a chance to chainsaw once or twice, it seems. Even if it is three, it doesn't feel like the truck is there long enough for you to really get a sense of what is even happening, you know?

Man it looks so official like its really a level in the game
...The stages in Sonic Unleashed seem longer than the Sonic Generations stages, even the Spagonia Roof Top Run stage felt a tad shorter than the original Unleased version to me personally, but anyway, your Sonic Generations PC Unleashed project looks really accurate! ^^
It is to use a GUN track instead of a big chaser!
A track may be able to be used instead of the big chaser of Skyscraper scamper!
Since completion also seems to be near, I am looking forward to it!
This looks pretty damn good, although a few bits look like they need more work to be perfect.

It's easier to see in-game.
It's green, rusty, dirty, and has wood in its back compartment. It's still a GUN truck, but it's their unit for hauling logs. :P
so, by this way, you'll probably be done in one or two weeks! That's great!

Its so much easier to play as well at 60 FPS. Its night and day trying to play Sonic Colors or Sonic Unleashed which are capped at 30 FPS then switching to Sonic Generations PC with 60 FPS.
I wish more people used frame blended 60 FPS for their sonic videos. I love the way it looks.
Sonic Unleashed on the PS3 tries to go to 60FPS and it actually does in most of Holoska - Cool Edge Day Act 1.

Had an idea, you know that classic sonic in modern sonic levels thing you made earlier? To fix the spindash crash, can't you add a small 2d section at the beginning of each level and then switch right back to 3d after the small 2d section? Unrelated news aside, this looks cool.

The visual glitch doesn't really look that bad, it actually adds a new feel to the way the map moves along with sonic's speed. @ 3@ then again I may be Wrong.
in some areas it looks 2 bright and sometimes looks worse than unleashed (mostly the 2d areas) but some other area look much better than unleashed and realized that the lighting is changed in a good way in the 3d areas.
It also looks a bit too linear at the water spots. That may just be the path he takes but that looked a little too "boost to win" for its length in the video.
