  • It's like all caravans that their are compromises but all in all we think this caravan is definately well built and well screwed together.
Buying a caravan like this will definately be money well spent but as always, these are our experiences and thoughts.

Hello Ally and Alan, Great news to hear you’ve hardly experienced any problems with your wonderful caravan. Wish we had room to store a Pegasus Grande. Saying that our 2013 Bailey Olympus has caused us very little grief over the past 11 years. Hope you have many happy adventures in your home from home 👍. Take care, Rob & Gail 😀

Thanks Colin. This caravan is gonna be in family a long time we think. It has that new caravan appeal every time we open the door. 👍

Glad to hear your first years experience is a good one. We have a pegasus grande bologna, so similar layout and love it. We have had the van two and a half years now and towed it 8,000 miles across some very bumpy roads and we have had no problems, with the exception of the two blinds to side windows in the lounge coming loose. Soon fixed though.

You're right to say a good dealer makes all the difference. We have the same van a year older which came with so many faults its too many to list. Basically every screw in every blind had been stripped at assembly, which I fixed myself with better screws, along with cupboards, shelves and a cutlery drawer installed at a crazy angle. Rock bottom was 1st service and a damp rating of 99%!!!!
Fortunately our dealer, Teesside Caravans, found it was was a poorly installed hatch, took the van for 3 weeks, dried everything out and renewed flooring, and we sailed through the 2nd service recently plus everything I fixed has stayed fixed.
Since we got it we've been to Scotland, Wales, France, Spain and Portugal as well as many short breaks locally, so it's working for its keep.
Now it's settled down we love it and intend to keep it for a good many years. One thing I would recommend is the fitting of Al-Ko shock absorbers, which improves towing greatly and, frankly, should be standard at this size and price point. But a little quality control by Bailey wouldn't come amiss.

I did John. Thanks for asking and a fabulous position I've got too. I'm now working as the Maintenance Manager at the Sunderland Hilton Hotel. Its a strange year as we haven't booked so many trips in advance. We'll be doing a review of Pheasants Wood soon as we're back there with friends in a weeks time. All the best John. 👍

    Hi Guys
Firstly it’s wonderful that you are back , I hope that things have got better for your both.
We are now 6 months into to owning our Brindisi after watching your reviews and like you we love it , we had the Avtex WiFi fitted to ours .
? For you , we were on a site in Cheshire over the weekend and it was the first time with this van on a fully serviced pitch , I have a long hose / pump that you can just plug into the side of your van so no barrels , I’ve heard people say that you should still use a barrel to avoid flooding , what do you do on serviced pitches?

    • @Coffeevaners

Thanks, yes we're both good. Now this is a very good question because when we bought the Elddis we bought the genuine Whale watermaster mains water connection kit to replace the float in a barrel solution but we've never opened the packet. There's 2 reasons. The 1st is habit but the 2nd like you is fear of flooding that people go on about but theres a big BUT. We've not known of come into contact with anyone who has been flooded as a result if using one. Thats got me thinking because next weekend we're on a pitch with a water tap and the barrel float for the other method has sprung a leak. So having read on the blurb that the unit is suitable to 8 bar and its brand new, i'm going to use it. We have a whale inlet and its a genuine whale part. Watch this space. 👍👍
