- Everyone should be concerned about Jacinda Ardern’s attempt to “shut down free speech,” says The Australian’s Sophie Elsworth.
“The smiling socialist Jacinda Ardern is effectively looking to shut down free speech,” she told Sky News Australia.
“She wants to shut down your views if they don’t align with her.
“I think that’s incredibly problematic and I think everyone should be concerned about this.”
She is a prime example of a corrupt politician. Don’t trust people who want to control speech.
You should add a few more qualifiers there I would add Tyrant and psychopathic.
Remember how the internet was supposed to promote democracy? On balance it has done the opposite. It allows people of overlapping interests to form groups and then be identified and sidelined.

I’m 75 and started a class to keep my mind active. We were greeted by two woman who seemed nice but strange because their voices were exactly the same. Soft and slow. They weren’t sisters. Then I went to the toilet. There were two but no ladies. I chose the mens and ladies. The class started First we made a long acknowledgment to the indigenous people but then the rules of the class were read out. Including we must not say anything that will trigger anyone. I hadn’t heard the word trigger before but I got the picture. I wanted to say just cut the crap but suffered through the class and never went back.

I am so embarrassed that this woman runs the country I live in. What happened to "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" ? This was something that was taught to us early on in school. Who are these people she is talking about protecting ? if you have such thin skin that someone's post online causes " Chaos and reduces your ability to defend yourself " you need help! Not a law that gives you and the government power over what speech is considered " hateful " or not.
