- Before he was a Rolling Stone, a Face, or a member of the Jeff Beck Group, Ronnie Wood flew the nest aged just 17 with his first band, the Birds. Featuring cameos by Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, Jimmy Page and many more, Ronnie’s adventures on the road to superstardom were handwritten in his private diary of 1965.
Now, celebrating 50 years in rock 'n' roll, Ronnie Wood guides us through the pages of his rediscovered journal in 'How Can It Be? A Rock & Roll Diary' - seen here for the first time in an onstage interview with BBC presenter Bob Harris.

The Who is the most POWERFUL R&R BAND OF ALL TIME!!!

@@leonelshout1964 you got no fucking clue
Mas conocidos,,,,los Stones.Mas musicos ...The Who.Son otra cosa.
Why just a minute and a half of video? He was beginning to tell a story. wtf??
Bob Harris pretending to be interested.
There shouldn't have been any rivalry, they're all one big happy Tavistock family.
Sorry. I've never been a fan of Ron Wood. Offering a comment as a lifelong Stones fan, Mick Taylor was by far the very best guitarist they ever had. In fact, Taylor's virtuoso guitar playing helped cement the Stones' enduring reputation. Wood has never and will never be in the same league as Mick Taylor.
mick taylor was better than brian jones?
They were good friends with Brian Jones. Especially when they performed at the Rock and roll circus. Kicked theyre ass.
Who kicked whose ass?
@@PaulMcCaffreyfmac The Who blew the Stones away so badly on stage that Rock And Roll Circus remained unreleased for decades...The Stones were essentially humiliated at their own show
You realize he’s talking about the rivalry was between The Who and the Birds correct??
I'm surprised that I'm the only one to have given a thumbs up to Paul in reference to The Who's performance at The R.&R Circus. They did really blew The Stones offstage. That is without a doubt.I'm a hardcore Who fan at 55yrs old.
@@tonycarpenzano3060 Absolutely Correct, I'm So Pleased that Circus Eventually Found It's Way Out of Captivety, The Who Blew So Many Bands Off Stage!..
Astounding English conginiality from English legends, about English legends...Their buddies..
Is that Whispering Bob?
Yes, Shidoobee.
The worst thing to ever happen to the Stones.
Ronnie? Oh come on. Sure, there was Brian, creative genius destined to burn; and Mick Taylor, greatest lead slide guitar player of all time; but Ronnie's got licks and soul, and he's Keith's bro. Chemistry my man. Some Girls is right up there with the golden era.
@@erictrenbeath9680 I guess you are not a stones fan...
Don't be disrespectful to ronnie
The Rolling Stones are a very talented band, no doubt about that. But The Who are vastly superior in their musical output. It's no contest.
The Who really managed to keep their sound pretty fresh throughout the 70s while the Stones kind of stagnated.
Unfortunately, The Who has never been topper-most-of-the-popper-most single-wise. Great mate. Good story though.
