Leaving debugging tools in production is a backdoor, unintentional or intentional doesn’t really matter, it’s a backdoor.
Henry I would encourage you both to watch the last week and this week's Security Now Episode by Steve Gibson because not only is he a programmer and an Apple Fan but he goes into depth explaining why Apple had to know about this and why he thinks it was intentional and not because they were trying to help the NSA or FBI etc. He also explains that it has been updated over time as well so there is 0 way that Apple can say they didn't know about it. Plus the fact that you would have to have SPECIFIC information that only Apple would have in order to make this backdoor function. Again I'm not hating on Apple, I'm explaining why they knew and why it may have been intentional for good reasons, not for nefarious reasons like to help a government agency. Please watch those episodes, it will change your minds.
Agreed
I have a question about what security priority is appropriate for Linux vs Windows vs Mac OS
So now that we know about the back door does it still exist or did they get rid of it?
Henry has his mic gain always too high xD
One Love!
Always forward, never ever backward!!
