I love the idea of the GP rifle, and limiting barrel length to 16" is a solid move. But I'm definitely a little bummed I can't run a 1-10 LPVO on my GP rifle.
Yeah, then you've turned your GPR a "recce" rifle. For fucks sake, put what you want on your rifle and stop with the fucking labels. It was all done as a marketing ploy in order to get you to buy more shit. Now competitions are using it to break people into groups; that's it. Someone needs to start a generic AR15 competition- no categories, open to any caliber that fires from a standard lower. Ranges from CQB to whatever- no optic requirement or restriction; "run what you brung"
Really interesting to see this and hear about your respective configurations! I've got an SPR setup with a 16" SR-15 and 4-16 NF scope and am super happy with it for engagements out to 600-800 yards. Would really like to try some GP at some point, however.
Would running an 20moa mount be worth it on an LPVO with just the intention of reaching out to 1000 for some shots or just learning the hold once bottoming out what I can dial?

You can. As long as the low end is below 1.5x
@@quantifiedperformancellc9484 Awesome!!! Thanks for clarifying that. I'll hopefully be at The Arena in April, sounds like I'll be shooting in GP.

Where can I get that dry fire target? I didn’t see it on Canebrakes website.

Makes sense
I wish 18" would be the max barrel length and a max of 10x magnification. I believe other competitions call it the Recce Division.
