Hello, I am TheTimTracker. Welcome to my crazy beard and mustache driven life! After watching the first vlog and this one, I'm now trying to convince my mom to come down to watch my cats in November while I spend my birthday in the Keys x) I had my sights set on Disney, but looking at some of the hotels and resorts down in Key Largo and Islamorada, a Keys birthday is looking A LOT more on the cheaper side than a week at a Disney resort.

I love that it doesn't look like a tank. it looks like their natural habitat. especially the dolphins get all that space to swim around.

We have to recommend the Islander Hotel more. They did a big renovation a few years back and have not seen the updated property.

Wonderful place. Went back a couple years ago and it was amazing. My parents had also taken my family there when I was much younger. I cared more about the cats than the sea life they house there. lol

When I was 14 (I'm 31 now), on our way to Key West my family stopped at the Theater of the Sea. I got to be a part of the Sea lion show. I got a kiss, a handshake and a hug from the sea lion. Do they still do that?
My mom got to kiss a dolphin. It popped out of the water and hit her lip a little too hard and she had a little bit of a fat lip for the rest of the week. Great memories of Theater of the Sea!
Yep, Theater of the Sea's Dolphin Show and Sea lion show still have volunteer sections.

Theater of the Seas looks like such a relaxed park, it reminds me of someplace I have been before, but I just can't put my finger on where. The view from your room was wow...just wow!

Oh my gosh, that place looks so nice! I love that the area doesn't seem over-developed and it's like the animals are still in their natural habitat.
IVE BEEN TO THEATER OF THE SEA BEFORE ITS AMAZING AND GREAT I GOT TO PET A DOLPHIN AND I GOT TO SEE A WHOLE BUNCH OF IGUANAS ALSO IF YOU EVER GO TO HOMESTEAD WHEN GOING BACK TO ORLANDO GO TO ROBERT IS HERE. ITS SO COOL ITS THE BEST MARKET EVER AND ALL THE FRUIT THERE IS THE BOMB.
OMG I stayed at the Pelican Cove Resort about 30 years ago & seen this same show. Somethings just never change. Lol😂
All those animals were so amazing! That place looks like so much fun. I love the turtle in the little life jacket! I can't wait for more footage from this place.
I was there about 10 or 11 years ago and they had the same shows but it was cool. I have the videos on my old video camera. 😃

Theater of the Sea seemed very tranquil and well managed. Birds are pretty amazing creatures. Ornithology was one of my favorite classes in college so you can see why I enjoyed that part the best haha! Y'all are awesome!!!

That theatre by the sea is an awesome place! Hope to make it there. one day. I love all the foliage the Keys have. A lot of the wouldn't grow in North Central Florida. Gets too cold here.

I can't believe how pretty the Keys are! And so many exotic looking animals. You guys did a really good job (that was a cool shot of the iguana-cannot believe they are so frequent there)!

My daughters had a gentleman in there area who walkedhis parrots every night on his shoulders considering we live in Canada that's amazing

I almost died when I saw the sea turtle with the life vest on. Poor thing... Really cute tho.

That is a bridge. Since Dolphins hear at a much higher frequency than we can speak, it's a way to tell the animals that they have done the behavior correctly and to come back and get their reward. That reward could be fish, a rub down, or an EED (environmental enrichment device) which is just a fancy word for a toy.
Iguanas are known as _Key West squirrels_ since there are no real squirrels in the lower Keys.

I thought the baby sea lions were labs at first.
They really did look like it too. They do say that sea lions and seals are the dogs of the sea after all, so it's a quite appropriate mix up.
