Surya is very conscious in answering questions and not very comfortable with himself. Karthi on the other hand is more natural and talks without any inhibitions and is a much better articulative person

What a qualitative press meet is it. I haven't seen such brilliant answers in any film's press meet be it even vikram or RRR or bshubali. The quality of screen play is what is the highlight... it's about the story and how mani sir has presented this magnum opus, and not about how good is the vfx. Like karthi rightly said don't come to evaluate and put marks.. cone and enjoy the mani sir film experience 👌 😊

Well said, those days our school took us all in batches ( nearly 3000 students) to watch Veerapandia kattabomman, Kappalottia thamizhan and Rajaraja chozhan .. though they were a bit dramatized versions still they created an impact in us..

Karthi is always entertaining and well spoken. He’s a natural and that’s what has made him fit into Vanthiyathevan. His only OVer the top performance was Kaatru Viliyidai
Kaatru Veliyidai character needed that over the top act . It is not regular good guy role . His actions should make audience hate him . So in my view he successfully did that in KV .
One thing I noticed is that every cast member mannerisms and even the way they sit is so apt to their characters, especially Ravi's demeanor is how I imagined arulmozhi varman when I read ponniyin selvan! Is it perfect casting or they absorbed into the characters even now after the shoot has been over for a while or bit of both!!

I used to think nayan did it cause she was a private person and all. I know she don’t do commercials cause she wanted to remain exclusive and ensure audience feel excited whenever they get to see her instead of seeing her everywhere. Very very clear that almost all of the reporters haven't read the source material. Most of the questions are either generic or asked only for the purposes of controversy. Padichitu kelungada. And not one person thanked the cast and crew for making the biggest cinematic dream of Tamil cinema come true.

I am Singaporean. If everyone talks like that, then in the future the standard of Tamizh will only get worse. Remember, 20-30 years ago nobody spoke like that, that means all this happened within 1 generation because of technology, social media and the internet. So, it is possible for Tamizh to get worse, by the next generation because parents think speaking and writing in English will give a rich look. If one day China becomes superpower and says speak chinese, you will change from English to Chinese, BUT Tamizh will remain Mother tongue forever, that doesn't change. Other languages are just for commerce, but not Thaaimozhi. The whole press meet is spoiled by yellow colour shirt guys and questions related to saivam and vaishnamvam related questions. This is a great epic transformed into a visual treat with the cost of some many people hardwork of more than 3 years . Especially 25 years dream of a man
If the movie is not about Cholas , then Saivam and Vainavam question wouldn't have arised . When you make an epic like Ponniyin Selvan then the detailing should be perfect . So if they make mistakes in small things like Pattai Naamam then we as an audience have every right to question it . When did you saw Chola King or Queen having Naamam in their forehead in pictures or drawings ? So why unwanted vaishnavite influence ? To cover North Indian market ?
This may be the dream project of that person, but more than that, it's not just a story, it's suppose to reveal the true nature of people, so all those questions should be very well welcomed and answers should be satisfyingly clarified.

If the movie is not about Cholas , then Saivam and Vainavam question wouldn't have arised . When you make an epic like Ponniyin Selvan then the detailing should be perfect . So if they make mistakes in small things like Pattai Naamam then we as an audience have every right to question it . When did you saw Chola King or Queen having Naamam in their forehead in pictures or drawings ? So why unwanted vaishnavite influence ? To cover North Indian market ?
This may be the dream project of that person, but more than that, it's not just a story, it's suppose to reveal the true nature of people, so all those questions should be very well welcomed and answers should be satisfyingly clarified.
