This was one of the best videos I've watched so far. I'm in zone 8B so I have to pot my plant; last year it died even though I trimmed it back and covered it. I pulled my plant out of the soil yesterdaty and it's sitting in my garage upside down until it's mostly dried, then I'm going to put it in a large pot with some compost and hope for the best until Mar/Apr
I live in zone 6b. My banana tree is in a good-sized pot. My garage is attached so it stays warm-ish in winter. It also has south-facing windows. Do you think mine would do okay in the garage as-is for the winter? Or should I trim off most of the leaves?
Hello thanks for the very helpful video. I'm in zone 6B, and my plan is to put this tree in a 24-32" planter year round, then in the winter time I can cut the leaf's back and store the planter in a room I have that is heated and maintains the temp above 2° celsius. do you think that will work? Do you have a video bring it back out come spring, and what I should expect?
As long as it stays dry and doesn’t get below freezing in a room, it should be fine. Mine is in a greenhouse at 8-10C and I don’t water at all. In the spring I bring it out, plant it into the ground, water in well And the warmer temperatures (15C or more) wake it up to grow again.
We grew one in the ground for twelve years!, even snowed twice! On it froze on many occasions .died this year!🤷♂️but can we grow a new one , nope! Don, t know why,,can help Sir... Or even or replant a small plant to replant out doors 😊🤷♂️

Imagine doing this EVERY SINGLE YEAR. That plant will never grow lol
Actually you would be surprised how much growth they put on!
@@palmdaddy new video with growth!
Did you not see the size of it at 2 years old?
