In early 1980 years i made for me sheet music of these piece, and that was almost identical of later internet publication, but i never new it playd well. My technik was bad and amateur! Congratulation for mostly beauty playing!

Any advice on where rest stroke vs freestroke coming in and out of the arps and lines? Do you try to get as many rest strokes as possible?

As for your question, this is an old recording and I think I am using way too many rest strokes.I watched Paco carefully and noticed that he uses very strong free strokes. If I were to play this today, I would play, say, the first part completely in free stroke so that I can get a better flow going. I'd use rest stroke here and there for emphasis and obviously for the picado sequences.
atrafana ah, interesting. I'm glad i asked you. Its good to make decisions like that early on. :) I naturally tend to use alot of rest stroke, so i think this piece will push me to improve my freestroke. Thanks for your advice, and again, dynamite playing!
Olha,depois do paco é a melhor interpretação que ja vi.Pra ser sincero ele tão bom quanto.Mas,se eu não estiver enganado,o paco de lucia imprime um ritmo um pouquinho mais acelerado.Essa é a unica diferença.

así es!! francamente cierto, de él y de grisha goryachev, pocas personas interpretan a paco con fidelidad.
Muy muy muy bueno, casi perfecto. Una técnica depurada y buen gusto al toque. Me ha encantado.
