JME was merking beats back then for sure. He made most of his own beats then slew them with bars 🔥
JME just different. Never disappoints. Feel like he makes music for himself which makes a difference with quality. He was on the 'Whats Good' podcast recently which is quite a long watch but he talks about some good stuff.

Like, selling a bit of weed ain't too bad, but selling weed scales (multiple) and 0.4g bags of coke? Well now you're a distributer, sir.
This looks good despite a nothing budget because it`s good music. We forget sometimes that it`s all about the music not the look. Video killed the radio star. The great thing about the UK scene is that i`s absolutely real. No hiding behind flashy, larger than life, shallow crap. Mostly, it`s about poor kids on the streets trying to get by.
