Never thought about ahop vaccin my gutters, but i have been shopping for the gutter attachment for my leaf blowers. I like vacuum idea more now that i saw this. Thanks 👍
Hay guy, I like what you did. I have a shopvac and I am going to try it your way. PS: I live in a two story home so, I have professional gutter cleaners come out every two years to get the higher parts of my house. Thank you very much for this idea.
I have one kit coming from Home Depot. I chose the system because it will have a larger ID than the plumbing ideas and weigh a whole lot less. I will also buy an adapter to attach it to my Makita 36v blower. Thanks for the video
ive started my own Gutter business in Australia and looking at all the Americas videos. You guy's have inspired me alot. and all these gagets to work safely on the ground great. i clean and climb on single story homes. with this kit i can further exspress my work for double storey home's. keep up the great video's im Submitting my Subscribe to your channel 😊😊😊👌👌👌
I was curious about who is watching gutter cleaning videos in February. Makes sense that it is someone from down under. Thanks for your feedback and please feel free to provide further comments on how the products work for you
I purchased this gutter cleaning system along with a Rigid 16 gallon 6.5 HP stainless vac. It works great! No more ladders for me. I later added a 13 foot extension tubing as I like the added reach from the vac and its easier to store than the 20 foot extension. My home is only one story high. I don't know how this would all work out on a two or three story house. It would be a hand full. Where did you get your curved mirror?
Great idea. Those 2 extra extension pieces you bought are 20.5" long each. So you added 41" to the existing gutter cleaning kit? How many feet high up do you estimate you can reach with your setup in the video?
You should add some affiliate links for the products. Does the attachment/hose get clogged immediately if using for gutters that are packed? I guess if someone neglects their gutters for years there would be a lot of compost in the gutters from leaf decomposition. That might be less likely to clog. ETA: I watched further into your video and my question was answered: Yes, it clogs but still works after you unclog it.
If someone neglects their gutters for years, this product is not going to work. If the gutters are packed with dirt, it would be like using a shop vac to suck up a field of dirt. It is not going to work
@@usagutterservices6775 Thanks. What do you do if you have a client with a problem like that? Up and down the ladder pull the stuff out, then using a hose to force the clogs in the downspouts out? Sometimes one moves into a house with already compacted gutters.
@@usagutterservices6775 Well, I had one of your flyers on my porch. I won't hire you now because you seem dismissive of people whose gutters haven't been maintained to your liking.
I don't have a shop vac yet. Can anyone recommend one which would be good for this job. I'm planning on getting one for this, and keeping the crawlspace clean.
The home depot sells the ridgid brand. The foam filter is for water vacuuming and the paper for dry.The filters are expensive, especially for very fine dust vacuuming but it's a small price to pay so those particles don't get in you lungs.
Looks like the regular filter in the vac. I’ve heard people say they take the filter out to do this job, but I would not recommend that. Just check the filter frequently. I have two filters so that I can vacuum one off while fresh one is inside the machine. When that one gets a little to clog they take it out put in the one I vacuumed out and clean that one.

Got my kit and love it. Glad you made your video. I also figured out how to connect it to my 36 volt Makita blower. What a rig!!!

Please post the names of the extension kits/components that you bought so we can find them at Home Depot. Thanks.

Great video, I ordered the same 14 gallon shop vac, and gutter cleaning kit, I don't think I'll need the extensions my roof is pretty low
Both of you called the Ridged wet/dry vac a Shop Va.c.
@@HRTsAFyre honestly, I'm sure majority of people that have them call it that
Thanks for the video. Where did you get the inspection mirror?
Please let us know about the mirror.
Wonderful video! I'm going to buy this Rigid system thanks!
Thanks for the video. Where can I get such an inspection mirror? Thank you
If it’s too flimsy you could tape a couple joints of conduit to the outside of the pipe to stiffen it up.
Good video info. But every video I find, is showing a single story house. Have you tried this accessory for a 2 story house?
Just add hose from the regular vacuum to add extra feet
I got the same set up but I would like to get that mirror. Did you make if or does someone sell them.
My gutter tubs keep coming unscrewed so I used self tapping screws, works great.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Is this set up heavy?
Hook to back of ridid and blow out the gutter downspouts

Did you have a filter on your vac or did you remove prior to the job?
Remove prior to the job. You don't need the filter for this.
Great work. Definitely going to invest in this!
Thanks for the feedback

Link to where this can be purchased? Please.
Where u get the mirror and pole?
You got dang valleys too
Is it safe to vacuum snow?
What kind of watch is that you have on?
is ur cable tv cable in ur gutter?
PS I have an action camera will mount it on the unit to see where I am going.
Thanks 🤗
That vacuum has to have some power to reach a second story gutter.

@@justmejo9008 isn't vacuuming a filter using another filter just moves dirt from one to another? I'd just use my blower on the one I need to clean
@@huinyavaina I vacuum it with the house vac myself.. after that I wash and let it dry
Thank you for this video
Can that work on a two story house?
I don't see why not. Worst case you can always buy some pvc pipes as additional extension
This guy is intense!!!!!!!! About blowing stuff
Too bad it isn't battery operated for better mobility so not having to lug an extension cord around the house
Just makes me laugh 🤣😂🤣
If you drive a Toyota do you call it a Ford because Ford made the first car?
Ridgid is not a Shop Vac.
Spends most of the time talking about doing it instead of just doing the work
Thank you for this video
Thank you.
