    FINALLY! Someone is explaining exactly how to trigger the camera by "popping" a flash some distance away! THANK YOU!! There must be a hundred people explaining the "flambient" technique (operating a remote flash some distance from the camera), and they simply explain the image editing part WITHOUT showing precisely how and why things are connected (they say, "Go buy this trigger and use it" without ANY details). YOUR instructions recognize and cover that VITAL part. Thanks again!

    Hello from New York City! Can the Flashpoint R2 Single Pin Transceiver do an autofocus half press on any camera? Thank you for your informative video.

    I recently purchased a Nikon Z6. Can I use this product for my camera to talk to my Nikon SB 900 speed light???

    I have this single pin triggers as well. For some reason, I got a black bar on my photos when the shutter is quicker than 1/125. It seems like the trigger is not fast enough to do receiving and transmitting signals at the same time. I ended up using two SPs stacking on the hotshoe with the bottom one for TX and the top one for RX (connected the camera with shutter cable). Working flawlessly at 1/250. I have other two triggers on hand, one for adjusting flash power and one for triggering the shutter.

      You may want to watch this: ua-cam.com/video/0j5AHzAGaFk/v-deo.html I'm certainly not an expert, but it sounds like a flash sync speed issue.

      @@JJ-ew9lq I currently use 2 sets of triggers. One set is for the flash transmission, the other set is for shutter release. The sync problem has 2 reasons: signal interference and r2sp isn't quick enough being a transceiver. After I use two sets of triggers, I have much less out of sync issue, unless the house is full of smart devices. When the sync issue happens, I will use the r2 pro to scan recommended channel and use it on the flash. It works really well.

    Hey Wayne! I finally got a second remote and used it over the weekend. Works great, although I don't think I am able to change the flash power from the remote in hand.

    Thanks Wayne. Very timely video for me because I was actually just looking for a way to remotely trigger my a6500. The only thing for me is that all my flash guns are still using the old (R1 / 433Mhz) receivers, instead of the new (R2 / 2.4Ghz) receivers. I wonder if I can just leave my old Cells II 433 Mhz transceiver in the hotshoe and then use the new Single pin r2sp plugged into the side of the a6500???

    • @InterfaceVisual
      @InterfaceVisual  3 роки тому

      The R2 will trigger the camera...and with a 433 trigger on the hotshoe it just might work!

    I ordered an XPLOR400 to work with this setup. I assume I can control the flash power directly on the XPLOR400 itself? I want to avoid controlling flash power from the remotes.

    Thank you Wayne but I wish you had shown you changing the settings on the camera and the flash remotely as well (as the ending)! Question, I would love to do this, but I have been in love with my CamRanger 2 and seeing the big picture on my iPad. But ... I can control my camera, but not my flashes. This would be great, but I have to plug in my CamRanger 2 into the camera and there is only 1 available camera plug. Is there a solution?

      Sorry,I should have, and I am redoing this video. BUT...this setup will only allow to control the flash setting and not the camera.

      you need 2 the one on the camera triggers the flash and camera...the one in your hand controls the flash power and triggers the unit on the camera
