    Thank !
In nearly of the videos I saw presenting the Zornhau, people tell you to continue by stabbing to the chest and that's that.
Finally someone who acknowledge that most of the time you won't be able to press on, and who offers other counterattacks from this position.

I think the fact that they are so clear and to-the-point is why I like them so much.

Bruh why does everyone make the zornhau out to be just a oberhau without aiming at the body?
We have historical illustrations showing the proper form for a zornhau, that is, leaning way back and pointing the sword out from the other side of your body. Smh

Hitting your opponent with the zornhau depends on the distance. When you are close to them you should totally try using this cut as an attack aswell.
But when you are even a half step out of measure with it the zornhau-ort combination is the most reliable to finish the job.

I train with wooden swords. So far this technique has broken two

Wooden swords are basically worthless in this day and age, grab a synthetic.
Edit: JK, save up for a decent steel while using wood.

not a wrath guard, not the wrath cut, not longpoint, not zorn ort which is a winding, Hema, stop using the shoulder guard it has lead to all these misunderstandings and lazy interpretations. all primary cuts are done with the shoulder as the centre of the circle of the motion of the arms. Wrath guard = hands up, slightly above and behind right ear. point hanging down and backwards towards your left side. then push the arms high out to your right side bringing the point up but still hanging a little backwards out to your right side in the air , now cut a big circle into... longpoint = arms directly out in front the elbows level with the shoulder, hands in front of the chin, cutting from the right to the left side of the body, blade goes between both your eyes, right in the middle, at the height of the bridge of the nose in its arc travelling from your right side to your left side.
if your not doing this, your not doing a wrath cut, nor will you begin to understand the other cuts, and everything else you do will be based on wrong foundations ending in bad interpretations, period.
which is exactly the state hema is in now.
dont shoot the messenger, it is what it is
