    3:24 as an Indian so called minority Christian I can confidently say that I am blessed to be born on this side of the borderline and I have never been discriminated against in this beautiful country..
    the true so called minorities in are the most prosperous one . Eg top educated are 1st Jain 94% and 2nd Christian 84% and buddist 3rd 80% most wealthy are Sikh and Christian and Parsi.. earning per capita 2-3x of national per capita
    When you say Muslim minorities sorry when you are 14% or 25 cr and essentially the second or third largest Muslim nation.. don't call yourself minorities... you are essentially the second majority..
    And you are trying to establish your rule.. and the natives will push back..

      It’s heartening to hear that you've had a positive experience as a Christian in India. Your experience, while unique and positive, is indeed a form of anecdotal evidence-personal stories can offer valuable insights but may not reflect the full range of experiences across diverse communities. Both India and Pakistan face issues related to discrimination across religious, gender, caste, and ethnic lines, and these challenges impact different groups in distinct ways.
      There are indeed documented cases of discrimination in both India and Pakistan. In India, various reports, including those from organizations like Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, highlight issues faced by marginalized groups, including Muslims, Dalits, and others, especially in social, political, and economic spheres. Similarly, discrimination based on religion and other factors is a reality in Pakistan, where religious minorities sometimes face significant societal pressures and legal restrictions.
      Your point about India’s minority communities being statistically prosperous in education and economic metrics is interesting and holds true in many contexts. However, such statistics do not negate the reality of discrimination some individuals and groups face. Prosperity at a national level does not always protect minorities from experiencing local discrimination or prejudice, just as representation in certain sectors does not necessarily equate to social equality.
      Regarding the notion of Muslim "rule" in India, it’s important to clarify that, to the best of available data and analyses, there are no serious, large-scale political or social movements aiming to establish religious rule. Most Muslim-led initiatives focus on social justice, anti-discrimination efforts, or community empowerment, rather than political dominance.
      Our aim with this channel is to foster awareness about such issues and encourage dialogue that contributes to understanding and change. We believe that acknowledging these challenges is essential in working toward a more inclusive and fair society. Awareness, empathy, and open-mindedness are steps toward a progressive world where discrimination on any basis e.g. religion, race, caste, or gender can be addressed constructively. I hope that you will join us in these efforts and I thank you for sharing your perspective on this complex issue.

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this complex topic. We appreciate the examples you've provided about the inclusion and success of minority communities in India, such as having minority leaders in various high-ranking positions. These examples certainly highlight some of the positive steps India has taken in terms of diversity and representation, and it’s encouraging to see minority voices in positions of influence. We recognize that without a doubt.
      At the same time, we also recognize that India, like any large and diverse country, has faced challenges with regard to its treatment of certain minority groups. There have been numerous reports from various reputable organizations like Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International that detail instances where minorities, especially Sikhs, Muslims, and other communities, have voiced concerns over discrimination, both at social and institutional levels. Events such as the anti-Sikh riots in 1984, incidents of mob violence against Muslims, and recent controversies over citizenship laws have shown that there are still significant issues to address for India’s minorities.
      Pakistan indeed has a long journey ahead in terms of ensuring equal rights and protections for all religious communities. Religious discrimination remains a challenge, and we are committed to raising awareness and encouraging efforts for a more inclusive and tolerant society in Pakistan.
      We hope that as we work to address these issues in our own country, we can foster a spirit of collaboration and mutual support. By acknowledging these challenges openly, we believe both Pakistan and India can progress toward a future where every individual, regardless of their faith or background, can feel safe, valued, and respected. Thank you for being part of this conversation, and for engaging with our content in such a thoughtful manner 🙏

      Overall, it was a healthy discussion.
      One philosophical question that haunts me, and one I would like to hear your perspectives on as people of reason: Is it just to label someone as a "minority"? Does such a label truly belong in an inclusive society? Or is it perhaps a concept left behind by our colonisers?

      @MukhbirNama  13 днів тому +1

      Thank you so much for acknowledging the healthy discussion in our podcast with Adeel Afzal. Providing such engaging and thought-provoking content is what we always strive for here 🙏
      Addressing your philosophical question, I understand your concern about the labeling of certain groups as "minorities." It's an important dialogue to have. While I personally don't believe in labeling any group or individual in a way that diminishes their identity, it's important to recognize that the term "minority" has sociological and political definitions that are challenging to escape within the current structures of society.
      Mathematically, certain groups may simply be in a minority within a given region or country. Thus, labeling them as such is often a reflection of demographic realities. However, this doesn't have to mean a loss of identity or value. In my perspective, an inclusive society should not be a melting pot where differences are erased, but rather a vibrant salad bowl that celebrates diversity and inclusiveness.
      Perhaps one day, we will achieve a utopian society where the concept of minorities no longer exists, and everyone feels part of a unified whole. Until then, let's celebrate our rich diversity and work together towards a future where everyone, regardless of their background, can thrive. Your thoughts add depth to this ongoing conversation, and I appreciate your engagement with these important topics.

      @@MukhbirNama I agree that the mathematical models often help analyze society empirically, but their socio-political repercussions can sometimes be adverse.
      Take the case of the Balochs: they contribute their fair share to the economy but remain a political minority. Shouldn't their representation in federal politics be significant enough to ensure a decisive say?
      The same applies to other marginalized groups-whether based on religion, urban/rural divides, education levels, the gated vs. ungated communities, or the socio-economic class. Our Society along with Pakistan’s federal structure must treat all cultural nations and societal groups as equal Pakistanis, transcending the majority-minority divide.

      It is heartening to see your keen interest in these topics and your recognition of the importance of transcending majority-minority divides to build a more inclusive society in Pakistan. There are Pakistanis who admire these individuals for their courage and dedication in defending their lands against external invaders. Historical figures like these are often appreciated for their resistance and resilience, and their legacy resonates with many across borders.

      I can assure you Adeel was being quite serious and many historians would agree with him. The role of Pakistan and the Afghan jihad in contributing to the dissolution of the Soviet Union is a well-known subject. The Afghan conflict was one of the factors that strained the Soviet Union economically, militarily, and politically. As you may know, In 1979 the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan to support the communist government in Kabul against growing insurgencies. This invasion was met with resistance from the Afghan Mujahideen, who received significant support from Pakistan, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and other allies. The conflict lasted a decade and became a key battleground of the Cold War.
      Pakistan played a pivotal role in the Afghan jihad. Pakistan hosted millions of Afghan refugees and became a hub for Mujahideen fighters. Training camps were established in border regions, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where fighters were recruited and armed. The Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) of Pakistan coordinated the training and funding of these fighters, working closely with the CIA and Saudi Arabia, who provided extensive financial and logistical support.
      The United States also played a critical role by funding the Afghan jihad through "Operation Cyclone," one of the most expensive covert operations of the Cold War. Saudi Arabia contributed matching funds and encouraged the participation of foreign fighters, spreading a global jihadist ideology. This alliance between Pakistan, the U.S., and Saudi Arabia ensured that the Mujahideen were well-equipped to resist the Soviet forces.
      In the end, the Afghan war had profound consequences for the Soviet Union. Economically, the war drained billions of dollars annually from the USSR, exacerbating its already fragile economy. Militarily, it resulted in heavy casualties, with over 15,000 Soviet soldiers killed and many more wounded. Politically, the prolonged conflict was deeply unpopular within the Soviet Union, fueling dissent and undermining confidence in the communist regime. These failures contributed to Mikhail Gorbachev’s policies of glasnost (openness) and perestroika (restructuring), which inadvertently accelerated the collapse of the Soviet Union itself. Please go ahead and deny history only if you choose to.

    • @MukhbirNama
      @MukhbirNama  9 днів тому

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I can assure you that Nagaland’s history with India is indeed complex and has been a topic of discussion for decades. To clarify, the issues surrounding Nagaland stem from its unique cultural identity, the demand for autonomy, and tensions between local communities and the central government of India. Since India’s independence, Nagaland has seen armed insurgencies led by groups demanding sovereignty. The Naga National Council (NNC) began this movement, declaring independence in 1947, which led to conflicts that persisted for decades. The demand for 'Greater Nagaland' or 'Nagalim,' including areas from neighboring states and Myanmar, added further tension.Nagaland has also been under the controversial AFSPA for decades, allowing Indian security forces to operate with broad powers, which has led to allegations of human rights abuses.
      Many Naga civilians feel alienated due to these measures. As recently as 2021, a tragic incident in Mon District took place where Indian security forces killed several civilians due to mistaken identity during a counter-insurgency operation. That incident sparked significant protests and brought global attention to the region's unresolved tensions. Of course, while there has been a peace process initiated including the 2015 Framework Agreement between the Indian government and the NSCN-IM (National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak-Muivah), a lasting resolution remains elusive. Disagreements over the Naga flag, constitution, and territorial demands hinder progress. I believe that Nagaland's situation is a reminder of the challenges in managing diverse cultures and histories within a single national framework. I hope you will agree that It’s essential to approach such discussions with empathy and an understanding of historical and political contexts.

Let us not repeat the mistakes of the 70s. Thank you again for your thoughtful comment, and for helping to keep language alive!

Just to clarify, we don’t aspire to be seen as intellectuals of Pakistan; rather, we’re simply individuals trying to engage with a number of issues openly and honestly. We absolutely agree that Pakistan has significant challenges when it comes to ensuring fair treatment and opportunities for its Hindu, Sikh, Christian, and other minority communities. These issues are real, and we believe they deserve serious attention and action.
      Oppression, wherever it occurs (whether in Pakistan, India, or elsewhere) is unacceptable, and it’s something we must collectively address. This was the message given by Hussain (RA) and many other individuals who willingly laid down their lives to protect the weak and the innocent. It’s not about drawing comparisons but rather recognizing that injustice in any place affects us all and warrants awareness and dialogue. I sincerely hope you’ll join us in discussing these issues openly, learning more about their complexities, and encouraging positive change across all borders.

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I want to clarify that our intention was not to justify any issues faced by minorities here or elsewhere. Pointing out global challenges faced by minority communities isn't about deflecting attention or engaging in whataboutism. Instead, it's an acknowledgment that these issues are complex and exist across various societies, from developing nations to those considered first-world.
      In highlighting this, we aim to encourage dialogue on how both Pakistan and India, along with other nations, can make strides towards inclusivity and equality. Every country has its own journey and challenges, and it’s our hope that, over time, both our nations will progress toward creating safe, respectful environments for all communities. Minority rights have to be protected everywhere and we hope they will be better protected in Pakistan and India. We appreciate your engagement and hope you'll support these efforts toward a more inclusive future for everyone.

    As my comment is being hidden i will put my point here
    @MukhbirNama hi buddy sorry I didn't reply earlier..
    I will be a fool to claim everything to be hanky Dory.. it's far from it.. in fact none of the countries are perfect for this.. i mean we never judge the Europeans upon the treatment of the Romani gypsy.. even today
    but I have a simple scale I judge any minorities in simple matrices..
    A simple fact based questions.. what would the case be theologically had it been a vice versa situation ..
    example if you find treatment of Muslim disrespectful.. would the Muslim behaviour be same or worse had the been in power.. and historically and factual logic it has been that Muslim have not been great with it minorities.. it is impossible for non Muslim to live in these islamic country.. The Persian left for india..
    The Afghanistan lost it Buddhist monastery Etc etc..
    Christian theologically have not been great with the pegan culture.. be it in Africa or Americans
    Comparison Hindu culture has quite welcoming..
    But one thing we just need to understand that Hindu culture has been so accommodating that even a sight resistance to the status quo is being seen as a brutal attack on non Hindu minorities .. whne the reality is they are just defending thier religion..
    Religion is very personal for Hindu so Converting from Hindu religion is seen as a personal attack on thier existence
    And whne islam has a law that prohibits leaving Islam by capital punishment isn't it hypocrisy to let others not defending themselves..
    I judge any country with the opportunity it creates and is a there a genuine claim for any person who is from any religion sect or creed can aspire to be.. Indian constitution is, that never cared about your religion while creating opportunities..
    hence we all succeed in education and wealth..
    Muslim took undue advantage of the population boom.. and increased population size. Rather than economic development

    • @MukhbirNama
      @MukhbirNama  13 днів тому

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I’d like to clarify that I absolutely do judge European societies for their historical treatment of minorities, including the Romani people and Jews, particularly during the horrors of the Second World War. Europe has faced painful reckonings for these events, and while it's a journey that has led to reforms and self-reflection, the subcontinent may still be navigating its own process of coming to terms with historical complexities. I deeply hope that, unlike the violent upheavals witnessed in history, our region’s path can be one of peaceful progress and reconciliation.
      Regarding the treatment of minorities in Islamic and other religious contexts, history shows us a diverse spectrum. Muslim rulers, like all rulers, were influenced by the politics and power structures of their times. There are countless examples of Muslim leaders and communities coexisting harmoniously with diverse religious groups, and instances where tensions flared due to political motives or social upheaval rather than religious doctrine alone. As we discussed in our podcast, everyday individuals from various religious backgrounds have coexisted peacefully, even sharing meals and celebrations together-an example of how personal connections can bridge cultural and religious divides.
      On the matter of apostasy, Islamic teachings do indeed contain different interpretations, and it’s crucial to recognize that views on this issue have historically varied and continue to be debated. In modern times, this is often seen as a matter of civil rather than purely theological law. Progressive voices in many Muslim-majority societies argue for freedom of belief, aiming to adapt interpretations to contemporary understandings of human rights and individual freedom.
      You rightly highlight the accomplishments of the Indian constitution in providing opportunities regardless of religious background, which has been instrumental in fostering relative social mobility. Pakistan, too, had a strong foundation, but the legacy of Zia-ul-Haq’s policies disrupted this, embedding divisions in ways we are still addressing. Many forward-looking Pakistanis are actively working to restore and build upon the original inclusive vision for our country. We hope to foster a more equitable and inclusive society that transcends religious and cultural boundaries. Constructive dialogue with our neighbors, friends, and people like yourself can be a meaningful step in building a better future.
      Thank you again for engaging with us, and we hope you’ll join us in supporting and encouraging these shared aspirations 🙏

    What u all did to your nuclear father 😂

    • @MukhbirNama
      @MukhbirNama  13 днів тому

      Responding to this is a delicate matter but I will be as honest as possible. Abdul Qadeer Khan is a complex figure in Pakistan’s history. While he was celebrated as the "father" of Pakistan's nuclear program, his reputation was clouded by significant controversies. Dr. Khan was accused of proliferating nuclear technology to countries like Iran, North Korea, and Libya. These actions, which he admitted to later, cast a long shadow over his legacy and led many within and outside Pakistan to view him with suspicion. This revelation ultimately tarnished his image internationally, as it contradicted the ethical standards expected of nuclear scientists.
      Despite the mixed legacy of Dr. Khan, Pakistan has been home to many brilliant scientists who have made contributions without controversy. A prime example is Dr. Abdus Salam, Pakistan’s first Nobel laureate in Physics, who won the prize in 1979 for his work in theoretical physics. Dr. Salam’s contributions in electroweak theory were groundbreaking, and he is remembered globally as a scientific hero. At our channel, we honor Pakistan’s scientists who exemplify integrity, commitment to peaceful progress, and scientific curiosity. Scientists like Dr. Salam are our true heroes, and we hope to inspire the next generation to pursue knowledge that benefits humanity.
