@ColonelFrank07 I have had a S1 for a couple of years now. The sheath is quite a deep fit but has loosened over time. Im planning to make a new one, pity though beautiful leather on the original one. Cannot fault the knife, butcher a deer from start to finish still shaving sharp!
Excellent , informative , clear as a bell , no hesitating . Your confidence easy on the eye because you knew what you were talking about . Subscribed and thumbs to the sky! . Great video .
Fallkniven knives are some of my favorites. Great knives and thanks for showing us the S-1. Just FYI...the company WEB site indicates that the name is pronounced Fall-k-NEEVEN.
Hi watched one of those 'destruction' videos. The A1 came out pretty good!. Never imagined a knife would go through that much.Seems he rates it over all others. Might watch some more, though make me wince watching some guy smash up a beautiful knife like that...
@phishydk Difficult choice. Both are good allrounders, I guess it comes down to if you want the extra weight/length of the A1 (better chopping etc) or the more compact S1(better fine work). In reality both are top knives and both would do the job of an outdoor knife equally well. paul
Hi 888zzz, Not sure i agree with you there. Never had a Fallky chip on me and my preference is for stainless, particularly laminate stainless for all my outdoor/hunting knives. Paul
I prefer leather sheaths...but the leather sheath they show on this knife has no strap around the handle or anything, would this be bad? I don't want to spend so much money on a knife and loose it because it doesn't stay in it's sheath.
@m16mang Hi I think it comes down to personal preference, its very difficult to pick one of these, they are all excellent in their own right. I guess compact knife would be a F1, mid size, good as an all rounder, the S1 and larger, more inertia, the A1. paul
@wiking3r What a decision....Honestly I like them both, I guess if you like a larger knife with a bit more weight the S1 would be the way to go, but if you want compact and weights an issue, then the F1. The blade shape of the F1 probably makes that slightly better as a hunting knife, but its marginal.
Stainless steels aren't a good choice for hard use because they chip easily. Carbon is much better for hard use. Check out BLUNTRUTH4U's videos on UA-cam on his steel choices.
Thanks for not deleting my comment. Shows integrity. But type "Fallkniven A1 test" as a UA-cam search, and you'll find at least two tests of the A1. Both testers chipped the blades fairly easily. Read the comments too, and check out BLUNTRUTH4U. I'm commenting for buyer's awareness.

That rifle is a trusted companion, an old 80's Sako finnbear .25-06, the action is still as smooth as silk.....

Fell-k-neaven would be more correct, pronounce neave as leave with n
I'm from sweden btw
Hi EnjoythewildUSA,
thanks for the comment, one of my favourite knives the S1, just a great allrounder.
Nice rifle...totally agree on the quality of Fallkniven...cannot be beat for manufacture or workmanship...
Hi
Yes it does, full convex blade. The combination of the convexion and that VG10, holds a great edge.

I would put the Fallknivens above the others, the S1 would be an excellent choice, or of you like a bigger knife, the A1.

Hi paul,
Would u recommend the fallkniven s1 or the a1?

Great knife. Thanks for the review.
check out the fallkniven destruction test on a youtuber's channel called noss4. you will see why these knives are probably the best out there.
Thank you for uploading, nice vid.
Thank you .
What happened to your voice, Paul!?
