Both Hürrem and mahidevran bankrupted the harem and that's why Hürrem had to sell the lands to pay the debt and was later banished by Suleiman, and mahidevran was immediately dismissed by Suleiman

Would you just kick out of your house on the street someone who raised you? Valide punished Daye only for performing her duties and protecting sultan's wife. Hatred, pride and fear from Hurrem blinded Valide so much that she even lost her sence of justice.
