There was another local South African story very much similar to this one. A guy came from a tavern late one night. Then the guy ran into a girl on the way home and asked her why is she all alone at this hour. Then the girl said she was looking for her way home, so the guy gave her his jacket to wear because it was cold. So they walked together until she saw her home. She pointed at her house and said thats my parents place, then the guy volunteered to borrow her, she said thank you and thought he was sweet and he said he will return for the jacket tomorrow. The next day he then went to her house, when he got there he asked for the girl by name. The lady at the door looked shocked and said, are you sure you saw this girl ??? he said yes she said she lives here, the lady said the girl your looking for is my daughter and she died a few years ago. He said, thats impossible, the lady then took him to her daughters grave, when they arrived at her grave, he found his jacket on top of her tombstone.
there are a lot of such stories, previously in a certain part of Venda taxi drivers returning from cities, sometimes they would carry a whole family, or even filling the taxi and when they passed by the graveyard the taxi would be empty and all the passengers they had picked up would disappear. such things are so strange that most dont have answers.
I have a relative from Eastern Cape (SA) Long ago had the same thing happened to him he also met a lady at night bt he was a sober minded person he also woke up in this grave site I think these ghosts trick the mind and they do as they please with that person
