- "Revolutionary for its time, a spy device with no electronic components was created by a Soviet inventor, Leon Theremin, the creator of the world's first electronic instrument.
By transforming his musical machine, Theremin created a listening device that evaded American detection for seven years, during the most important period leading up to the Cold War."
#DCODE #Russia #US
This is a prime example of Discovery leavin out the details that that the USA needed help. They only ever knew they had a bug to search for because British inteligence notified them after a British radio operator accidentally tuned into the bug while the russians were using it. And when they needed to figure out how it worked they had to give it to British engineers from Marconi. It's like that one person who tries to take sole credit for a joint project.
Who is Marconi ?? Nikola Tesla invented everything !!
They do it for WWI, when they barely got there, and WWII, when the Soviets took the brunt. Now they'll do it for the Cold War.
I don't understand why they didn't expect it. So Russia gives you this huge wooden object that you don't look inside at all? There should be dark room where all the gifts are kept cuz you know we do that shit too.
This was 1945, just after WWII. Russia and the U.S were allies. And the gift was given under the guise of good will, brought to the embassy by a Russian children's group. Under the circumstances, I think they could be forgiven for not expecting this wooden plaque contained a listening device.
We do not know what exactly the impact of this inclusion has been. But it may have prevented a nuclear war during the Cold War.
Lol, Americans... You mean British and Dutch scientists worked out how it worked for you! You're welcome!! 😀
They always take credit that does not belong to them, happened and keeps happening
Incredible performance of the engineer. We don't know exactly what impact this inclusion had. But it may have prevented a nuclear war during the Cold War.
The guy Theramin made essentially a radio with electromagnetic waves
Thats no easy feat in fact that's almost like magic
The title of this video confuses me.
Horrible acting, horrible narration, and obvious favoritism.
Guys, this is how we got NFC card/tag (near field contact), security card, contactless payment, car tag for toll pay... it work.
That's pretty incredible
One like for Soviet brain.👍
SOVIET BOY SCOUTS now people got to be aware
This was ingenious
Dark Matters Twisted but true did it right. To bad they used clips from it.
Is this a trailer for a movie ? What is the title of the movie ? I would like to watch it in its entirety...
Dark matter twisted but true
Thnx
🤔🤔🤔🤔
Anyone else wondering about T taking that Lincoln bust?
Movie name please?
Was this episode financed by the Clinton campaign at the time? The narrative regarding the bug is sort of technically accurate, the sinister tone and paranoia is however rather amusing.
The Russian influence in 2016 would have been The Russia Today TV channel
Oh come oooonnnnnneeeeee!😂
That just little.🙄
Damn
Soviets 😂😂😂
ORANGE MAN BAAAAAAADD
What are you talking about, the video isn't even about Trump, nor does it mention Trump. It's trump the word, not Trump the person.
@@artvandelay3840 They do mention Trump within the first 20 seconds of the video.
Bad acting
Implying the Russian nothing burger citing wapo and nyt? Seriously?
Such a bad acting and "truth" about teh Evil Soviets :3
