I agreed with you all …the way that I grow up my kids for some of the parents out there is insane and not good but what is the better way to bring our kids up ? I believe in discipline, I believe in values ,I believe in communication and why not if they do something not good you have to tell them what are the consequences and why they are going to be punished..and yes if you work still you have to talk and have time with your kids because they have to be your priority because ones they are adults they will not keep in mind what you did for them as working but if you was there when they needed you …so parenting is the most important to grow up our kids and not hear because this generation because isn’t true it’s us the problem and the way we bring up our kids !
Sarah Ockwell Smith, who wrote the gentle parenting books actually says that sometimes saying no is necessary. She states that No is NOT a dirty word and that in a situation, as described, where the child is about to put themselves in a dangerous situation there is no other word to say or action to take than No and Stop. What gentle parenting is all about is the art of saying No in situations where the word no or stop should not be our default. I think we need to be really careful about perpetuating untruths and myths, as it becomes harmful to a practice which is actually really beneficial and healthy. If you actually read the books, gentle parenting is not as described.
