Even though the cabinets look "orange" to you, they don't come across that way on camera...the beautiful wood grain of the honey oak stained cabinets shines through. You did a BEAUTIFUL JOB of decorating your kitchen❣️ What a BRILLIANT IDEA to top candle sticks and small vases with small lamp shades to give them the appearance of small lamps❣️ I am borrowing THAT idea, for sure. 😉🥰*
Everything looks lovely 🤩 I will tell you as far as Pothos go, don't water them much! They can bounce back and thrive. Just water them a little bit once a week. They are almost impossible to kill. They will grow in bright light, low light, anywhere. Just chill on the watering and they'll be fine!

About the plants, just water them once a week, just a cup of water, because they are in a small container, some plants don’t like to be on the floor level, some plants prefer the indirect light, there is a “food plant” that you mix with water, that help your plants to grow healthy, just follow the instructions of the box. Plant your pothos or any other plants in a nursery pot with drainage holes so that the excess water can drip down the hole. You can keep the nursery pot then in a decorative pot. Enjoy your plants..
For your plants, purchase the water gauge in stick into the plant dirt that tells you when to water the plant. I, too, was over water my plants before starting to use the gauge.

They can handle being dried out a little. You will see when they need water if the leaves are limp. If you water them then, they will quickly pop up again.

I still have some ceramic horses from my childhood. I was brought up to treasure antiques and inherited many pieces from my parents. I actually am the 4th generation using certain pieces in my home. Keep saving these beautiful things from being thrown out and into landfills. Great video!!
You have a great eye. Your rooms all look wonderful. I think your plants need more light. A snake plant would work no matter were you place it. It does well in dark places or bright places, and they only need watered once a month.

On the vases next to the tv, place a battery tealight on top of vase, and you should be able to put shade on to make them functional. You may have to bend where the bulbs go on the shade

Terrible Plant Mom but the nosy dogs seem to love you. Like the things in your kitchen, especially the jar with coffee and the little book. Guest bathroom is very cute. You have acquired some very nice thrifted items. That deer is so pretty with that very dark coloring on his nose/face. I have lots of deer around me but have never spotted one with so much dark color.
I think the kitchen looks good. At some point in my growing up we had a fold up coat rack like yours. I wish you could still walk into a store and buy stuff like that.

the pothos plant tells you when it is being overwatered. the tiny points on the leaves will :cry" if overwatered. there will be like little dewdrops on the end of the leaves.. I never water until the dirt they are in feels dry...
Take heart, I became a plant mama after buying a soil/moisture tester for my indoor plants (from amazon). You will love it! The one I bought was only a little over $12 and now I have at least 15 plants…all green and thriving! Also, plants do best by a window where they can absorb the sun…it made a difference for mine!

Your home is beautifully curated and decorated! As for your plants, water once a week (or less), when dry, and water sparingly don’t soak all the dirt. Cut off dying leaves, or the plant will waste energy on them. Pothos do great in low light, but I will occasionally move mine in front of a window while I’m gone for the day so they aren’t in anybody’s way while getting some light 😊

Pick a day and stick to watering just on that day. I've had them for over 20 yrs and they love to be in a root bound pot. Keep any dead stems cut off and you should do just fine. Tfs!❤

Maybe your our plants don't have enough light in the house. You can buy a special lamp Fr to to that will full your plans and they will think it's daytime every time you turn that light on
