AAPI Heritage Month: Fred Takebayashi

This is a follow up to my first video What Is The Hukilau. I wanted to honor my Uncle Fred Takebayashi during Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. He shared some great information about his past and helped me think more about my heritage and I'm hoping it will inspire more viewers to think about theirs.

I'm so happy to have come across this video.
My name is Dottie Weeks andMr Takebayashi was my fifth grade teacher at Hickam Post School in 1957. He inspired a lackluster student into one who enjoyed learning. I've always wished for a chance to thank him. Thank you, Mr Takebayashi.

Dottie, I visited my Uncle in February this year (2023) and I told him about your comment. Unfortunately, he passed away a couple of weeks ago. He will truly be missed. I'm glad I had this chance to make this video about him and I'm glad I got to see him one last time.
