But here, people are just clapping hands, and the SPEAKER will be praised for being intelligent, as if merely discussing the issue well is an achievement.
No wonder Thabo Mbeki likes these kinds of setups, and hence he is regarded as the most intelligent politician-for doing nothing, just speaking well of our problems. 😁😂

This land issue is so painful and so yet complicated that it is fitting that this video ends in a laugh.
We have over-diagnosed the problem but when it comes to the solution, none are at hand.
Our constitution itself is null and void. It exists to maintain the status quo. That is, it asserts that stolen land will remain in the hands of the thieves.
Therefore, as apolitical as I am, I agree with the EFF's position that all land should be nationalised; and leased to legal entities.
Land claims are corrupt. The current configuration is corrupt. Government is corrupt. And wealth is winning and the expense of a poor populace.
Now is the time to come up with solutions. So if you disagree with my proposal please be sure to state your superior alternative for consideration.
But this; including the party system, is not working for us. It is an imposed system that we did not agree with and it has to change.
When the time comes for me to occupy land I will occupy forcefully and we can rightfully fight it to the death if you say it isn't mine.

    • @simsimvuyele5494

I agree on the land solution. What would you suggest as an alternative to the party system?

    • @BlackInfinity
      @BlackInfinity Місяць тому +3

As an alternative to the party system I would suggest something similar to what OHM proposes. That we vote for laws and policies directly. Instead of voting for the parties who get people (MPs) to vote for the laws.
When we vote for a party we are giving our vote away to the party, and have no control thereafter. That's why the rich sponsor all political parties then form lobby groups to control them from the inside and ultimately have their way. Politics is wasteful, inefficient and inherently corrupt.
Every law should have a sunset cause and we should vote for if we want to continue with it, end it or change it. And we should vote for a president. Our votes should have the power of shareholder votes in public companies. But our votes currently have very little to no power at all

I will share this experience with you people in Southern Africa. My family has been building sizable residential and commercial facilities in the Caribbean, including Haiti from before any African “country” gained independence! We built/build for European people to this day, but 15 years ago we worked on a contract with the Angolan government to build 20,000 homes for its citizens. Part of our plan was to transfer western/American technology to the Angolan people, as we have been trained at the best engineering and architectural universities in the USA. However, in the end, the Angolan government gave the contract to a Chinese company, as we refused to go along with the increasing bribes, as the Angolan leadership involved in the negotiations kept pushing the unit price up to 5 times the initial price, so they could all get “their” share, at the expense of the citizens! This is Africa, and the black African boys that think they run things there, although, compared to their colonial masters, they continue to only eat crumbs off the breakfast table!

What I fail to understand is the punishment they have impuned on black farmers who bought their land. Totally neglected by land reform administrators eventhough policy is inclusive. They choose to focus on state land. Now that the state is transferring land, after spending millions on those farms whilst they were concerned of private owners that they will sell their farms as they don't have control over them. So, let's see who is most likely to sell whilst majority on private land are waiting to be assisted. Yes banks and sfis are there, requiring 10 % of the loan with a credit score of an executive whilst they are at farms struggling to make them successful same way that leased farmers were and yet it's not considered the same. The system fails those who helped themselves when things were cheap. Forgetting that the state escalated prices of farms by stepping into the arena of being a buyer.

Remember when after world war 2 how the Jews and the Japanese was paid reparations and was rebuilt, now that we claim reparations and rebuilding, people use scare tactics that the economy will collapse, why didn't the economies of those countries that helped rebuild and restore Europe collapse and for this reason I am saying your statement is uninformed and distorted.

@@WesleyBaartman I hear exactly what you are saying but the simple reality is if land is expropriated in SA the rest of the world will immediately think Zimbabwe and the economy will collapse. All we know of Southern Africa is Zimbabwe.
I hear it time and time again and have american friends who say that the blacks have been the only ones to not get reparations and I understand the sentiment but unfortunately it doesn't work.
The reason it doesn't work is the economies of Europe, Japan and Israel all had populations within those countries were experienced in running a fully industrialised economy and did just that even after their countries had been destroyed.
You have to accept that you could not start appropriating land for example in Limpopo and then hand it all out to the Tswana as what would clearly happen is they would turn to subsistence farming and the economy would collapse.
The reasons for redistributing land are valid and correct, you cannot move the majority of the population onto pretend reservations and then expect them to not expect their land back after the fall of the government. What I'm saying is unfortunately is the concept of redistributing land doesn't work unless it is a tiny, tiny proportion of that land to genuine career farmers who happen to be black, and that isn't what the likes of the EFF or the ANC allude to.

    3. The AnC executive arm of the state is deliberately avoiding to correctly deal with the land issues.

But the protagonists of apartheid took away this land forcefully which is still heritage that rightfully belongs to native South Africans. Ones that did not have to disposes others. It is not a freebie but a right. It should be returned at no cost

You are quick to blame ANC and state all these things: inecusable and the like! But the fundsmental thing to do as an analyst if you are indeed,is to ask! What is going to happen to this land? The answer lie in Ace Magashule’s nephew ! Given land in Free State where he left the land in dire distitute livestock dead! So MR let us tell you “YOU LOST IT“ The 60 million you're refering to is lost to failed programs ! I was wondering if you were not going to mention zuma! I was really surprise? Because every one of you people take advantage of this name zuma to leverage yourself !
Funny you pinpoint malnutrition ! Very funny! And i find it obzurd because in apartheid era, children were not getting school meals and they were not dying ! Ehy are they dying now! Yours is just to PAINT ANC Government BLACK! You might think you have succeeded! But i urge you to think twice...

Who should finance those payments? It should certainly not be from our taxes. You cannot tax the dispossessed to compensate the one who benefits from the proceeds of apartheid (crime) so that they can share some of their ill gotten proceeds.
