is that all? just a slower speed assist? maybe you're not ramping it right. is the cardboard you're cutting running away? why does it need to be super fast?

I just didn't like it. I love Kershaw but this one didn't stack up. And I'm use to Kershaw USA, ZT and Hinderers. That knife was just pointless to me.

That´s Rigth, I see that the construction material is impeccable, that the Cryo 2 is heavy to my liking is better, more secure, it has an excellent grip (and if I know, there are better ones), the shape of the blade is beautiful, the frame lock has a firm advantage over all, absolutely all liner locks... the design is beautiful, the blackwashed unbeatable and the steel, good decent for the price... The speed is regulated, and of course, with the thumb it is difficult ... I wouldn't do it like that, I do it with the flipper and it comes out pretty fast... much faster than other Kershaws, other Civivi, etc... I'm not saying it's the best... Surely the ones made in the U.S.A they are better... But compared to other brands that are manufactured in China it has an advantage... I can't see in mine that it is a bad knife

What's that knife that the cryo is compared to?

The black handle knife is an Ontario Rat 1. The green handle Kershaw is a Link I believe. 20CV blade steel. Speedsafe opening. Sweet knife! American Made

It's a big piece of steel. Slow assist, thumb studs are useless. Not a good edc. Very heavy. Great for pocket carry in the outdoors. Batons very well. Can be used as a hammer for tent stakes. Works well with gloved hands. This knife will take a good beating. I guess it depends on what and how you want to use it.

    Worst knife revew ever,...mine is a bear,..industructable,..opens in a snap,..D2 steel.
I own a Spyderco para 3 and a Spyderco Manix XL2 priced six times as much,...that said my # 1 carry knife is my Kershaw Cryo 2!!!
Thumbs down, sorry to tell you but I disagree 100%!!
Watch how ALL the other kinfe show's on UA-cam rate the Cryo 2 as well my opinion on it.

Seems like a nice knife but wimpy speed assist and steel is ok. Make it with better steel and I would consider it. Agree on the Rat 1 or 2. Have a few of those and love them. Trying to get all the D2 versions in all the colors.

The rat idea is awesome! Lofty goal. And yeah the steel sucks and the speed assist needs twice as much tension.

I have to admit that most of the china made Kershaws kinda disappoint me. With some of the other Chinese companies out there putting out some excellent quality budget blades Kershaw hasn’t kept up with the times in my opinion 👍👍

I had this knife. I wasn't too fond of it too. Too heavy for me. And yeah, the RAT 1 and 2 are better options. I like my 2 better than the 1.
