Fun fact about this song, I was released before Britney had it on her circus album and it was doing really well!
Well it didn’t really do anything. It was just used in a movie. But it was specifically written for Britney. And this version was recorded after the movie I presume

Leah Haywood has such a smooth voice. So what's the timeline of this song and how did it end up on the Bratz soundtrack? Even Shelly Peiken doesn't seem to remember very well!
Right! Haha, well it was written circa 2005 and pitched for blackout. It was rejected. There is an original Shelly Peiken demo. And then I assume Leah demoed it for pitche because Shellys was so rough. Then Joanna recorded it for Bratz and it found it’s way back to Britney. Shelly has done so many interviews and so many blogs that luckily we were able to put it together 🤗💕

Yep. Shelly does have a demo of it. But it was recorded a couple years earlier and pitched for blackout. It’s known as the “rough demo”. But it’s just the original demo🤗
Out from under and btw doesn’t Leah does the ahhhhhhhhhhh harmonies in the choruses and the out from under parts too.

It was recorded in 2008 for circus. Shelly’s demo is also on UA-cam. This one has also been labeled Shelly for years

The vocal lol. This was thought to be Shelly. Until we found the truth lol. Some of these vocals were used on Britney’s version. The background singer on her song is Leah Haywood🤗🤗
