So... Unihertz Tank phone has 22000 mAh battery so there's that. But it tried to kill me by charging and exploding with the charger that came with it so... I narrowly escaped face death.
I'd recommend to check out the new Doogee VMax if you considering buying a big battery phone. That VMax has the same size battery as the WP19 but has slightly better components, therefore it may be a better buy in the long run.
I see. I've heard mixed opinions about doogee, however I'm currently testing their upcoming phone (s100) and I must say I'm positively surprised. But will it last? I'm about to find out. Most phones are expected to last 2-3 years top. Rugged phones should theoretically last more. Well, I'll use and abuse it, will see when it'll break..
Hi. Someone already opened this thread in the comments, It works with all major networks within the US - at least that’s what’s stated in the leaflets attached to the phone. I have forwarded the question to the oukitel’s representative to be 100% certain and haven’t had any response yet.
@@FamilyPopTV I guess my question was actually does this cell phone reach 5G? Looking at the specs, it seems that it doesn't take the N77 frequency that is on At&t network. I did see that it will reach 4G though.

hi. it's worth buying if you're into rugged phones (adventures, building/developers, heavy duty workers, etc). However, for the same amount of money you can get much faster android phone with better cameras and better features (NFC, wireless or superfast charging). Please take into consideration the fact, this phone is mega heavy, it's like holding a brick in the pocket, very possibly it'll pull the trousers down... Another thing to consider - what would you need this phone for? it's tough, shockproof/waterproof, and the battery life overtakes any other phone on the planet (maybe except unihertz tank - but I can't confirm this). It's fine for gaming. The camera quality (both photos and videos) are not as good as it could be, there are many better phones which do pristine photos and videos. But then the night vision is awesome in this phone... Personally, I'm happy with the wp19, this is the only phone I decided to keep once I have finished the review.

@@Bluegreenred Theoretically speaking, when it comes to processing power the g100 has a snapdragon 870 (3.2GHz), the wp19 has helio g95 (2GHz), so from definition, the g100 would be a bit faster. I have never had g100 so I can't compare its performance with wp19, but I trust my wp19 and I know it will run smooth on any game or any app.
The Lack of Battery Optimization and Bad Processor really make all of these Oukitel phones basically unusable big hricks that die faster than an iphone with a 4,200mah battery. Its all about optimization. You cant just stick a giant battery behind a screen and call it a phone.

Sure, here is the corrected wording: I am aware of that. It was the biggest battery at the time this video was made. Then Unihertz came out with the biggest 22,000 mAh battery, so I compared those two in this video: ua-cam.com/video/QjNQ8WLnjs8/v-deo.html I am not going to do the same for the DOOGEE VMax, as it is pointless. Let's wait until someone releases a battery with either 25,000 mAh or a newer, more efficient battery technology, such as lithium-air or graphene or some solid state batteries. Then it would be worth to make the video.

Even though I'm a big fan of Oukitel and WP19, Unihertz Tank, another rugged phone, has 22,000mAh - 1 thousand more than Oukitel WP19. So Oukitel WP19 is no longer the phone with the most capacity 😢, but at least it is the second phone with the biggest battery.
i had no experiences with oukitel's previous phones unfortunately, so i cant slap any opinions here. I heard a few critical reviews regarding their previous (budget) models - BUT if they would keep manufacturing 'bricks' like the WP19 all the time, I wouldn't have reasons to complain.
in what means? is that a reference to the ratio between the darkest and brightest point or gamma range or is that a synonym of hdr? be constructive with your criticism.

Of course, just like most of the techtubers, this guy doesn't even speak a word about processor efficiency, which has a massive impact on battery life.
Finally, i see a similar comment to exactly what im saying. I have owned the Oukitel wp5 Pro, which has an 8,000mah battery and a horrible processor. The phone struggles to last the same amount of Screen On Use Time as my 5,000mah Battery LG V60. Now I dont trust these companies. I was looking into the Uksfone that has 13,000mah but a much better processor. Theres no use for a big giant brick phone with this battery if the whole rest of the phone is unusable and dies just as fast
@@KiLLJOY1056 UA-cam deleted my previous reply. Oh well. There is 1 good review site which compared battery life of WP15 vs WP19. The site is called devicespecifications. Can't give a link because youtube will delete my comment again. Short answer is - WP19 lasts about as long as WP15, despite having 30% bigger battery. All because of processor efficiency. I have the WP15 and I won't be upgrading to WP19. Not worth it for me. WP15 lasts me about 40-45 days on full charge, with 30 minutes a day of usage (mix of phone calls, messages, web browsing). But I wouldn't recommend WP15 either, because it has poor 3G reception. People tell me they can't connect calls to me. They have to try 2-3 times until it finally works. 490€ 7 months after your video on Amazon Spain, I doubt is 269$ as you say, I saw tests with COD and there were some isdues and lags, you are being a bit biased, did not show zooms of comparison photos, also saw outdoor vidro tests and sound capture is awful, are you reviewing or just selling it ?
Hi. Please take into consideration, that the rugged phones been always 'underspec-ced' in comparison to standard phones in the same price bracket. Btw. At the time back when I tested this phone made the video, I was actually very impressed the WP19 as it was probably first rugged one worth having. Before this I owned Blackview phone which was absolutely awful, sluggish and overpriced. The WP19 was probably one of the first rugged ones which brought faster processor, bigger storage, etc etc, and set higher bar to other manufacturers. Was I biased? A little maybe, however unintentionally. Now I own WP19, bought Unihertz Tank and will probably buy upcoming Doogee VMax. I got more experience with rugged phones and android phones in general, so any future reviews going to be more harsh rather than 'sweetened'. btw. I got no clue what drives the high price of this phone on Amazon - possibly, Aliexpress could be more budget-friendly alternative.
Seriously, why does a "rugged phone" have the screen almost flush with the bezels of the frame instead of being recessed under raised bezels? And same for the camera, why does the whole lens and camera apparatus stick out like that? Unless you drop this phone on its side the GLASS screen or camera lens can still get pretty fucked up from even a modest fall given there is nothing to take the blow or dampen the impact. What a counter intuitive design
Good point. I’d need to drop it several times to check how the camera compartment and screen would be intact. Both having gorilla glass protection, but considering the weight of the phone, it may not withstand the shock…
Im going on a bike touring trip for months in Sweden. Was looking for a phone with long lasting battery but poor camera and sound quality and overall weight makes me question. Buying a less rugged phone and just bring a decent powerbank would do the trick no? ? Im thinking of an oppo with 5000+mah and bring an 21k mah powerbank. Thoughts?? Kind regards
From a practical standpoint, a reliable power bank might be a better long-term option. This phone's large size and weight make it suitable for a one-time trip (or maybe a party trick, haha), but it's cumbersome for daily use. It won't fit comfortably in your pocket and feels quite heavy..
Hi. Many video editing apps having the image stabilisation feature onboard, for example adobe premiere, final cut, iMovie, or free app called videopad, The footage in this video been stabilised in Final Cut Pro x, if the phone captures 4K video material, then after applying stabilisation it crops it a bit, so effectively ending up with 3.8K-ish.
Thx for the comment - I only used the wp19 for approx 6 months before 'upgrading' to the Doogee V30 (needed rugged one with thermal vision), so I can't speak to its performance after a year of use. However, I can tell the battery was excellent during my time with the phone, I was able to get through a week of heavy use on a single charge, and even longer with more moderate use. There definitely was some battery degradation for sure, but nothing noticeable
What happened to bv9100? Battery worn out? My dad in law has bv5800 and the battery dropped in efficiency over 2 years, has to be charged every 48 hours, even when not in use..
I have one of these phones, Oukitel WP 5 PRO. The speaker and incoming ringing sound stop working after 5 months for no reason. Customer service wouldn't help me resolve the issue or refund me my money. The huge mistake this company made was not refunding my money or giving me a new Oukitel WP 5 PRO phone. I used 3 phones in almost 19 years before buying their Oukitel WP 5 PRO phone. I thought buying their tough Oukitel WP 5 PRO phone was a good investment but is not true. A whopper 90hz certainly out pace my fading "ulefone armor 105G" - time to upgrade
Have they fixed the charging port issue that the wp13 has. Like mine does 😂
what kind of issues you've had with the port? mechanical issues or internal electronic issues?
@@FamilyPopTV port gets loose so have to have the charger on an angle to charge.
The usb-c port in wp19 works fine and i haven't had any issues so far.
btw. Always thought the usb-c ports having much more durability comparing to e.g apple's lightning ports (I managed to break the port in my iphone 8 a few years back, only after only a few months of use)...
@@FamilyPopTV mine was my mint for a few months then suddenly floppy

Good for outdoor
It’s great for adventure trips - long running on one charger and it’s indestructible - however, it’s pretty heavy and pulls the trousers down;)
So... Unihertz Tank phone has 22000 mAh battery so there's that. But it tried to kill me by charging and exploding with the charger that came with it so... I narrowly escaped face death.
I like this phone
I'd recommend to check out the new Doogee VMax if you considering buying a big battery phone.
That VMax has the same size battery as the WP19 but has slightly better components, therefore it may be a better buy in the long run.
@@FamilyPopTV It was to expensive. And do not trust doogee, had some of their phones that got broken early.
@@FamilyPopTV but my wp19 works like a charm, had wp7 lite before, and this is a massive upgrade.
@@FamilyPopTV yeah my wp7 got pretty beat up after about 1,5 year, but its alive. Selling it right now on bidding.
Can it be used in the US with At&t?
Hi. Someone already opened this thread in the comments,
It works with all major networks within the US - at least that’s what’s stated in the leaflets attached to the phone.
I have forwarded the question to the oukitel’s representative to be 100% certain and haven’t had any response yet.
@@FamilyPopTV Thanks for that Data. Good morning.
@@FamilyPopTV I guess my question was actually does this cell phone reach 5G? Looking at the specs, it seems that it doesn't take the N77 frequency that is on At&t network. I did see that it will reach 4G though.
No, it certainly doesn’t support 5G..
@@FamilyPopTV thanks for letting me know. Sorry for all the back and forth but how low does it go? 3G or 4G
I want this phone but it's not compatible with my service (Xfinity Mobile)
I can't find one of these phones that run on Verizon signal (Xfinity Mobile uses the Verizon signal)
Yeah, lack of wide network compatibility is the pain of many phones
The most important thing, is that it looks like good designed Smartphone, not as dumb bricket named "ruggade Phone"
Is this phone worth buying? Please be honest. Thank you.
hi. it's worth buying if you're into rugged phones (adventures, building/developers, heavy duty workers, etc).
@@FamilyPopTV well I order mine from China and it's going to take over a month to deliver ridiculous never again I'm going to order from AliExpress. Really ridiculous delivery service.
@@Bluegreenred Yeah I agree, the standard delivery from AE is ridiculously long. I recently bought a few androids (xiaomi, Realme, infinix), one came today (after approx.two weeks) but the others are estimated to be delivered in January 2023.. I would pay extra to have it within a week, but unfortunately AE doesn't offer premium delivery service.. Too bad.
However, I hope you'll be satisfied with your wp19. Please keep me updated. Thanks
@@FamilyPopTV ok great, are you saying the WP19 is not better than my Moto G100 phone? It needs to be because I'm waiting over a month for Oukitel WP19. 🙏🙏 The phone better be awesome if not I'll be very disappointed.
@@Bluegreenred Theoretically speaking, when it comes to processing power the g100 has a snapdragon 870 (3.2GHz), the wp19 has helio g95 (2GHz), so from definition, the g100 would be a bit faster. However, the wp19 has twice as much storage (256GB) and certainly won't be beaten on its battery life, that's for sure.

Thing!
unfortunantley this ISNT the biggest battery anymore DOOGEE has made a 22000mah phone doogee v max 2023 5g its more expensive though
Sure, here is the corrected wording:
I am aware of that. It was the biggest battery at the time this video was made. Then Unihertz came out with the biggest 22,000 mAh battery, so I compared those two in this video: ua-cam.com/video/QjNQ8WLnjs8/v-deo.html
I am not going to do the same for the DOOGEE VMax, as it is pointless. Let's wait until someone releases a battery with either 25,000 mAh or a newer, more efficient battery technology, such as lithium-air or graphene or some solid state batteries. Then it would be worth to make the video.

Well this phone is only 4g network.
Yasmine Estate
Probably the worst mobile phone company ever.
i had no experiences with oukitel's previous phones unfortunately, so i cant slap any opinions here. I heard a few critical reviews regarding their previous (budget) models - BUT if they would keep manufacturing 'bricks' like the WP19 all the time, I wouldn't have reasons to complain.
Video quality is so weak for dynamic range
in what means? is that a reference to the ratio between the darkest and brightest point or gamma range or is that a synonym of hdr? be constructive with your criticism.

The night vision quality is actually better than any other phone I had a chance to use (low noise - long range - clarity).
It is a power bank with a built in screen.
This thing is what the Ulefone power armor 13 should've been, if only it had a headphone jack and wireless charging

Actually, the new wp21 may be a better alternative - helio G99, 12GB ram and 9800mAh battery. I’m seriously considering it right now (still going to keep my wp19)
@@FamilyPopTV battery is too small after living on 13,200 for so long
Why cant they put a good CPU into a rugged phone with lots of features and a giant battery
I got suckered into buying the Oukitel WP5 only to find out two of the 3 cameras are DUMMIES! NO more Oukitel until they address this!!!
Ahhh man, that’s bad..
The wp19 is my first oukitel (and first android phone) and I have tested every aspect of this bad boy, I can say I’m happy with it.
Btw. No dummies cameras in wp19, however lack of image stabilisation is so far the biggest flop here.

Beautiful smartphone Oukitel WP19!
Great review!
I'll buy it ! You definitely convinced me
Hi. Thanks!
Btw. There's another rugged phone with a biiiig battery - it's called 'Unihertz Tank'. It has slightly bigger battery but the display isn't as good as in wp19, probably the wp19 is a better choice anyway..
How did it turn out? Is the phone ok?
Thanks for the review. I think I've found my next phone.
Chinese companies will always be garbage... I should have just bought a Samsung phone and attached a power bank to it...
I’ll check in the comments “for review” - I wouldn’t delete any comments. I respect everyone’s opinion

Hi. I have to admit, I neglected the gps part in the video on purpose as never had any issues with the gps.
I can confirm, the gps accuracy is actually ok, comparing to my wife's iphone11 - and my wp19 locks on the gps signal just fine and never drops the signal (been using google maps while driving),
I would suggest to contact customer service if possible (or seller) and describe the issue, they may be able to help/send the replacement.

So how are you doing post-image stabilizations? Thanks in advance!
Hi. Many video editing apps having the image stabilisation feature onboard, for example adobe premiere, final cut, iMovie, or free app called videopad,
The footage in this video been stabilised in Final Cut Pro x, if the phone captures 4K video material, then after applying stabilisation it crops it a bit, so effectively ending up with 3.8K-ish.

How does it preform after one year of using?
Thx for the comment - I only used the wp19 for approx 6 months before 'upgrading' to the Doogee V30 (needed rugged one with thermal vision), so I can't speak to its performance after a year of use. However, I can tell the battery was excellent during my time with the phone, I was able to get through a week of heavy use on a single charge, and even longer with more moderate use. There definitely was some battery degradation for sure, but nothing noticeable
I just ordered this phone after my Blackview BV9100 went out.
Divide 3 phones over 19 years and you get 6.33 year per phone. After 5 months the speaker and incoming ringing sound stop working on this phone. My Samsung on5 lasted 6 years and if i connected again it would still work.
