I totally agree... that is what a lot of Artistic Directors did "Back Then"... "One must be hard on the students... I love her... but being an Artistic Director myself, I would NEVER YELL and CUSS as much as she did. I watched a video today... and was SHOCKED that she said "GOD D...N" and F*CK" ... it blew me away... Personally, I don't feel you have to YELL or Cuss at your students... I would not appreciate that at all. I don't care who you are... NOT in this day and time.
This convinces me even more that I would have loved to have been taught by Stella Adler.

Well Id want this guy to teach me cuz stella adler's book is really hard to understand. Ive watched her videos and she seems to go on a tangent a lot.
