I really don't care for this show, but this performance is a major improvement over the train wreck that I saw at the tournament of champs in mid July. The show seems very heavy...but I'm liking this the more I watch it. I need to see the whole thing again. It's hard not to love the Cadets regardless, as far as I'm concerned they are DCI royalty.
One of my buddies aged out with this show on tuba, and for the last two weeks he marched with a torn meniscus. Now all I can think of when watching this show is the pain of marching a Cadets show on a messed up knee with a contra must be like...
Idk, I feel sorry for him, but the Cadets aren't the same. And I feel like this is the last Cadets show. They are probably going to turn into a totally different corps. I use to like the cadets but the last couple of years have been flat for me.
burdrchitect 1 2018 was a great cadets show! 2019 was probably my least favorite of all time. They need to find their spark, it’s kinda hard to maintain that when the leadership of so long is gone. Like the cavaliers, I’m confident they’ll do just that. They’ll be competing with the top tier again soon, mark my words!
Bravo. Trying something that really hasn't been done before with the choir is truly "world class". No surprise as The Cadets have been leaders of innovation in this activity for decades. Takes balls to put this kind of show on the field and only The Cadets can pull it off. Colors look regal on the field. Most underrated show ever IMO!
The percussion in this show was amazing, but the actual show. Not a really a fan. Although I have to say there was MASS improvement of this show through out the season
I'm not saying that I could, but just because I can't doesn't mean I can't criticize. Sorry you're so triggered buddy, but that's the fault of the show design. Crown was able to do 1 singer, but their electronics failed them. BAC was able to use a singer but not as a major singer and it worked perfectly for them.
They used the chorus to cover the weak brass section. Brass went from Jim Ott contender in 2016 (totally screwed at finals that year) to 8th place in 2017. Weakest Cadets brass section since the 1970s. Yikes! Thanks Hop for diving away your award winning staff. Other than Aungst, no A list designers will work with you anymore. Time to do the right thing and step down George. You're past your expiration date.

In just 2 years Cadets have gone from gold medal contender (would have won in 2015 if not for the poorly executed late season blackout that killed their GE just as the 3 corps that surpassed them were adding GE) to bottom half finalist. Aside from Aungst, the entire design team are B listers. If Cadets can't break back into the top 3-4 in 2018 GH should be replaced.

I have "Faith" that they will. I don't think you should focus on scores and realize the kids marching want to have a great summer and most of them don't care about what others have to say. You should know that as an alum. It's not just GH there is an entire design staff that help with the concept. While Gino leavening was perhaps the biggest staff change The Cadets will prevail. There is a reason they've been active since 1934. While they might have "fallen" they will remain "faithful" and the fans + judges will "forgive" them.

I love how placements worked out so Boston Crusaders "Wicked Games" went right after this show.

Show lacked an emphasis or some sort of focus it needed in order to really pull it all together. Felt incomplete.
For some reason the more i watch this show the better it gets

2015 was a fan favorite from the second they pulled out the French Horn feature (aka INSTANTLY)

Vocals aren't necessarily bad. The mini choir sounded so amateur and not together at all.
