Thank you so much for all the three videos about Losar celebration in Kinnaur. It's so beautiful. Especially I like the Shon Dance, which is one of the oldest recorded dance in the history of Tibet. In Ancient time Shon Dance is performed for the kings of Shang-shung Kingdom. It is still preserved in the Kinnaur, Ladhak and Ngari in Tibet. Perhaps, Shon is the oldest dance of Himalaya and Tibet. The circulation of Shon Dance is in anti-clock wise, led by the chieftain the dance who held a white yak tail. The anti clock wise circulation has its own historical reasons as it is related to the ancient and indigenous religion of Tibet "Bon". According to Bon historical accounts, Shon Dance is also performed to Lord Tonpa Shenrab, who is the founder of the religion. This ancient religion was originated around the Mount. Kailash and Mansarover lake. The bon religion circumambulate in anti clockwise, which is universal circulation or natural rotation, such as the earth rotate to sun in this way. Although the meaning of the Shon may changed by the time but it's way of circulation is still preserved until now. Thank you so much for sharing all those beautiful videos about your rich culture and tradition. 🙏
Thank a lot for this valuable information by you 🙏 really means a lot 😇 I didn’t know this much about shon dance. I pay my heartiest regards to you 🙏 holsay 🌸
Yes indeed, thanks for the information about this dance and it’s long history. Pretty sure, much later than Shangshung kingdom pre 7th century, there was Guge Kingdom in 11th century based Ngari near Mt Kailash, was composed of three regions. One is this Spiti, Kinnuar area.
I wish I had 20 like buttons for this video! This is just incredible, our kinnaur culture and heritage, folk tales are so rich, I m soo happy that we people are still following these in such modern times Thank you trible girl your whole village and everyonefor letting us be part of this virtually and telling us every detail. We really need to preserve our culture

Wow!The people with the beauty around needs no explanation that how keen are they to preserve their beautiful traditions.May God bless you all. Thanks for your efforts for showing all little details .
Seeing this makes all I do worthwhile. It is replete and complete with the puja of Bon. In fact, it is Bon. Bon really means Goodness and that is just this The Shon dance is truly meaningful, as it connects Labrang directly to Shang Shung. A Ah Kar Sa Le Od Ah Yang Om Dhu.
The fantastic concluding snowy episodic moments of yr LOSAR fest those u captured will always remain fresh in yr viewers skull... ... good effort in capturing n editing to make thiz historic event alive for ever.

Amita sis I think kinnaur has the most diverse and rich culture in Himachal and may be in all over India...We have mix of our Tribal rituals mix with Tibbetan Buddhist rituals and also Dev or Devta culture...Thanks for prmoting our culture God bless you
"LOSAR" or "NEW YEAR" celebration plays an essential role in family reunion and strengthening of cultural rituals, traditions and ties in present state of societies. After going through ur this series of vlogs "LOSAR SERIES" we r amaze to know so many things about Kinnaur specially "Labrang village". It's stunning & rich cultures and traditions, known for the first time for me and I m sure there will b many more people like me . The celebration of losar or any occasion with such a dedication, responsibility, cooperation, unity and involvement of every member of the village is very much appreciable and I m sure this is what makes any society, traditions or culture more stronger, unite and richer. It makes me feel very happy to know that you people still following and carrying the customs and traditions without any excuses, otherwise most of the places have been seen with just minimum required (Stemdail) with cutshort all old traditions and cultures and adopting modern ways of celebration of any occasion. So thanks to u 🙏🙏🙏🙏for making us aware of existence of such rich and precious traditions somewhere in these mountains ⛰.lovely vlog👌👌 Now if v focus on the time (or dates) of celebration of Losar in various locations or places, I have one quarry if u can help me out to find the answer...?
Yes that’s true we celebrate losar on different dates . Sone villages in kinnaur have fixed dates but villages like our it differs every year. Monks of our village see the dates of Losar according to lotho. And thanks for your valuable words . Really means a lot 🙏 keep watching and loving 🤞
@@TribalGirl_ thanks for ur response, that's true that dates keep changing every year because tibetan Buddhist follow tibetan calendar, but my question is something else , if u allow me to ask the question?
What a beautiful occasion LOSAR 😍 Day-3❄️ Snowflakes and Happy faces all around🥰. Really love it ❤️ Perfect videography 👏 and well description of the Aaitaas by Sh. Ambar Singh. I think this video will definitely get a positive approach towards the tradition and culture of everyone in our country.🙏

Very well presented to the people. Ma'am I must say generations to come will always cherish these colourful, blissful, traditional and core cultural events. You have created an invalueable experience through youtube. And one thing I would like to highlight that is I liked the way when you said "isko double banate hai". Very polite it was.
Thank u for the Vlog.. Very enlightening and informative. Some of the shots were very Cinematic. May this Losar bless Labraang with prosperity and happiness.
👏👌👍Beautifully created vlogs reflecting your rich culture & love towards mother nature. Such celebrations carry strong messages in the society - message of love, togetherness, awareness, care, life, inclusiveness & respect. I sincerely suggest you to make make it a consolidated documentary such as "Losar - A heartily affair with nature" and try to offer it at institutional level such as Tourism & Culture Department of HP, Ministry of Culture -Govt of India Or even to other broadcasters i.e. Discovery channels etc. Let the world see how our ancestors were so intelligent & concerned about ecological balance that they created such bonding means in the form of festivals to show unconditional love/respect to our natural resources & to keep the mother nature harmless. I'm more than sure if people would start respecting nature in their respective traditional manners like Losar celebrations, we'll definitely avert our ecological crisis across globe. It is really remarkable to see that even today you people have such great zeal to maintain precious traditions. Heartfelt respect to all of you🙏🙏
