At some stage, probably sooner rather than later, the resellers will bugger it up not just for themselves but other people who just buy for their own use, by putting these videos up and bragging how much profit they make, and then even worse knocking peoples prices down even further knowing full well they are getting an absolute bargain to start with. Same with charity shops, they're getting wise now to the true value of stuff. Should have hljust bought on the quiet, no videos, and they could have made a good living from reselling, just my opinion but some truth as resellers are saying charity shops and booters are increasing their prices.
I feel garage sales are the way to go. These markets can only get you so far. Garage sales tend to be more random with more gems and profit margins. Do you have any there?
Channels like this is what is causing car boot sellers to think again about their prices of things because reselling is becoming a big problem. The majority of people went to car boot sales to look for things they wanted either for themselves or for others as gifts or presents but now many people are using car boot sales as a way to make money for themselves by buying things very cheap and they reselling them for a lot more money. The people who suffer are the ones looking for cheap prices items for themselves but that is slowly no longer happening because car boot sellers are becoming more and more aware of resellers.
Ahh, well that’s good old economics for you. Supply and demand. I’m a reseller. I often tell the people I buy from that I’m a reseller. I’ve never once had anyone be anything other than fascinated about what I do or even offer me great prices - because quite often I’ll buy bundles of stuff and they can offload. There are two types of bootsale seller. The private ones who are there to have a clear out and want rid, or the house clearance guys who also absolutely do not want to keep hold of stuff. I’m extremely polite and friendly to all sellers, and I haggle nicely based on my knowledge of the market. If they want to much, and nowhere near what I want to pay I move on. I have quite often had people tell me what stuff is “going for on Ebay” and honestly, it’s usually wrong because it isn’t based on what is actually selling or what it sold for. There’s enough stuff for everyone….honestly there is.

We kind of get garage sales here mainly it's table tops but most weeks I find really good stuff at the car boot
