Hey I just stumbled across your comment. So it wasn’t all of the original members?. What happened to the group do you know. I’m so pissed that they are not together
The band reformed in 2005. Chris Groothuizen the original bassist wasn’t interested. They stuck around until recently, but then didn’t want to tour. Guy Chadwick has recruited a new band from musicians where he lives in the South of England. They sound pretty good!@@paulking8275
The House Of Love has accompanied and carried me through the 90s. I never had the chance to them live. Good to see them now, here. Thank you! We all have turned grey, the stage lights do match that perfectly.
Loved them in the 80s/90s. I went yesterday into a local store to buy some booze and on the radio was SHINE ON,so i went down the memory line. I'm glad they still play. Great
This is very good. Ive loved the house of love since first hearing them on John Peel, in the late 80's. Im not entirely sure if its "really" the house of love being its only Guy Chadwick left now. I realise it was "his" band, his songs but without the other originals it doesnt seem quite right to call the band H.O.L. Does anyone know why Terry Bickers didnt carry on in the new line up? Thanks for uploading this
Well, firstly if it's the House of Love for Guy, then who am I to argue? I understand him too. If the other members aren't into it, good for them, but doesn't mean that the band shouldn't go on.
the new band really is growing into it! butt the old stuff is really good......the new songs are more like the solo stuff from guy.....still they have to grow together! Like the sideburns from the guitarist 😅.......very good video and sound ! thank you for posting.
@@TheMusicalElitist how come none wanted to rejoin? How is this still called the House of Love? It just Guy "with guests" , its a shame really, because this band had it all, if you compare to how a band like James is still killing it nowadays in their original line-up, than this so-called House of Love is just a bit pathetic
I was there! Fantastic moment with Guy and his musician. Quality music……. Just memorable! Thank you house of love

Guy is apparently difficult to work with. But there were 3 of the 4 original members for a few years I believ in the mid 2000s. @@paulking8275
Great to hear live - A State of Grace

Terry Bichers left the band in the early 90s to form Levitation

Where's Terry?
@@brassneckweddoes Not true. He asked the members of the classic lineup, but none of them wanted to join, hence the new band.
