Unfortunately, wildfires happen on both sides of the border. People who live in the pacific west coast on the Canadian side have been affected by wildfires from Washington state for years
1. Arson wildfires are only a problem when conditions are extremely dry. 2. If you are over 5 years old, you know that we didn’t used to experience fires of the size and destructiveness we now have year after year. 3. It is arson. Exxon, the Russians, the Saudis and all of us who burn fossil fuels have set these fires. We’ve crossed a tipping point for our forests and we have made the Earth too hot for our forests to continue to exist.
There has been drought conditions in Northern British Columbia, where Fort Nelson is. Stretches down past my hometown of Prince George. Going to be another busy fire season here. Nothing you can do with not much snow or rain.
Old, arson fires are only destructive if the conditions are right. If it had been typically wet and cool, no amount of arson would have worked. But fires also often start when someone drags a trailer chain or a slash pile burn gets away or whatever. The one thing we do know is that our burning of fossil fuels has made the Earth too hot for our forests
Why don't you show us WHERE these fires are? Or at least where the worst ones are. Yeah, you gave us a map with little dots on it but that doesn't tell us anything.
Stop spreading right wing disinformation and disrespecting firefighters! Canadian wildfire expert Mike Flannigan has been unequivocal, "the increase in area burned in Canada is a direct result of human caused climate change. 2023 was the hottest year in over 120,000 years - over 230,000 Canadians were evacuated in 12 of Canada's 13 provinces & territories.
Duck, yep! We arsonists are all setting our forests on fire by burning fossil fuels. Atmospheric physicists have been warning us about this since the 1960s and even earlier.
Exxon, the Saudis, you, me, and everyone who produces and uses fossil fuels lit these fires. It used to be too wet and cool this time of year for wildfires to be started.

Yeah I’m 62 and not like this!
Human use of fossil fuels have destroyed our jet streams that regulate weather. Climate Catastrophe will only escalate.
Oh No, not again!! 😮😮😢
Grateful to all fire fighters. That is a horrible job.
My prayers to all the Canadians who have to flee from the fires.
Yes thank you I live in British Columbia and it's terrible

no drought condition can ignite fire in 15-2O celsius.Only arsonists can.

@@OIdiesCentraldrought conditions worsen them though. Also, many fires were from last year that kept burning under the snow during winter.
Looks like another bad summer fire season shaping up for the North and Western US & Canada.

These fires are flare ups from last years fires, they smoulder under the snow through the winter, when conditions are dry enough they burst out again.
There needs to be some kind of pre emptive plan when solar storms happen.
