Trapping MONSTER Sharks For My BACKYARD POND!

- In today's video, I build a MONSTER diy fish trap to catch big freshwater sharks to put into my new backyard pond! We placed our fish traps in a pond we also catch these rare aquarium fish and left it there for 24 hours! In our fish traps we ended up catching baby sharks, cichlids, a MONSTER snakehead, and finally after a whole 24 hours, I caught the big iridescent shark I have been after for YEARS! We brought it back to my house and put it in my 7,200 gl predatory fish pond as my new pet! Should we go back with our new trap to catch more?

Great fish trap. Idea: use a rowboat to take the trap to deeper water; and attach a flotation devise to an attached rope so you can retrieve the deep trap.
Gotta take that trap to that property with the abandoned ponds! Maybe in the South American pond?

You guys should try making a second generation of this trap.
In the second generation make the opposite end from the cone with a hinged or fully removable end that can be locked in place. This would mean not having to damage the trap repeatedly, as well as no risk to the fish’s scales when removing them from the trap.
Love your posts! I am not a fish person, I always found them boring. Your excitement and joy at what you do is amazing. Wish I’d been that passionate about something when I was your age. I love seeing it. It just brightens up my day and I feel such a light energy that is way better then a lot of the crappy things going on in the world.

You should make a trap like that with fine netting and use it as a 24 hr trap too! These videos are my top favorite on UA-cam right now keep it up guys
I would use chicken wire and just bend the sharp ends away from the fish, plus you can put gray tape over the sharp ends. Chicken wire is easy to bend and light weight, comes in different lengths. I am not good with names but I'm thinking Jaws.....told you I wasn't good at it. Great job on the build Rob! Great catches Bobby. Look forward to the next catches.
You should put a finer mesh on the inside of the big trap to catch smaller fish too. Also need to hinge the back panel to make it easier to access the inside. Nice work btw.

But he put the snakehead back in which he should have actually dry it out bc it's invasive (Don't need to add it as video content since killing animals could negatively affect your views even if it is an invasive species? Lol)

With the fish trap what I would do is, I will turn it into like PVC pipes for in replace of the wood and you know joints and stuff and you could turn the PVC pipes into little trips as well. That’s attached to the big one.
Can you put some type of floatation on the huge trap to have it go out further into the water ?

I have a fish trap idea. Pick up a used portable playpen at a thrift store or sale. They fold up. The sides are already nets. Would only need to change the bottom to a net, and the top would be an easy cover. Using zip ties. Newer subscriber, addicted. You kids crack me up!
You could try to use wing nuts for the traffic cone.
So you can take it off and use the big opening to get the fish out of the trap.

Yeah need a back door or gate on the back of it or top of it that can open and close and lock into place to both catch fish and then take fish out easily
