Why do you think Garabandal is relevant to our times?
Garabandal was ignored for over 40 years. You are the first group who has really taken Garabandal seriously. They were ignored because the clergy did not want to accept what the girls were saying, that many Bishops and Priests will leading souls to perdition.
What I see it is very relevant. We had communism for 40 years and when they, the girls echoed Our Lady, when Communism returns, it chills the soul. If it returns the war on Christ will be more mass murder. I believe Garabandal deep down above the warnings by 3 Bishops who I no longer trust in my soul.
It is quite relevant in that the cup has been full for a while and the reference to communism, which is the monster on our soil pushing itself in while the younger generation has been indoctrinated. The older generation was sleeping allowing the schools to raise their children while the family broke down and people raised children alone while trying to work to put food on the table. As a woman over 40, I've not seen such ungodly manners of men my age in society. So sad. It was never like that when I was 10. 20, and in my 30s.
I believe the Garabandal event. I have seen many miracles in my life. I believe these children's experience. I've researched it in detail. The videos speak for themselves. The message is biblical. May God have mercy on us and on the whole world. ( I am a charismatic Catholic, bible believing, full gospel, born again woman of the Most High)
Iif you actually think hard about our times, certain things from scripture start to make more sense...... If we are moving into end times then there are certain clues you can follow. The big one, is that events throughout the world will get so bad that a "saviour" will be needed to get us out of trouble. A saviour that will arrive just in time and appear to solve all our problems but in fact will make everything worse. In that context, I can see the need for warnings, as Heaven always warns, even if we ignore them. As I write this, I can see how many people would welcome anyone who could take the virus away and solve their problems and from that, the need for warnings from Heaven…

Popes, Cardinals and bishops thought that when it was mentioned that apostasy would enter the Church, they feared, like the apostles who asked, Id it I Lord? when he indicated that one of them would betray him, they feared that perhaps they might be the one guilty of apostasy..
I have been a Mental Health Nurse for over 30 years. Secular psychology has an over 90% failure rate. Antidepressants are 90% over prescribed and mostly useless. Praying the holy rosary is far more efficacious. God made us and when we are broken God can fix us. He wants to and He will. Just ask Him or ask His Mother.
So simply stated but so true. God made us, so go to him to be fixed. So logical, simple and wise. Thank you🙏

I am a depressive and was on prozac many years ago and was in a car accident. As my car was spinning on the 680 freeway, the only thing in my mind was the hail mary prayer as the car spun around. I ended up only hitting the side barrier facing against traffic but on the service road. After that, was the start of my prayerful life. I am on several doses of hail mary's now and no longer on prozac!
Psychotherapy in general has a very good success rate. If the studies weren’t showing that it wouldn’t be paid for. There are a lot of Christians who really need it in addition to all the church offers.
I was just wondering what is the best way to cope if you have a brain injury and can't pray the rosary?
I had a similar experience to Fr. Colm.I grew up on Ireland, a pre Vatican 11 Catholic, After Vatican 11, I became careless about going to confession, in fact it was a couple of years. When I finally returned to confession, the joy snd sense of release I felt, is indescribable; and just like Fr. Colm, I felt like I was walking on air - my feet barely touched the ground. I’ve often said to family and friends, especially those who say, “We can tell our sins directly to God,” that a good confession, is better than a session with any high priced, psychiatrist or psychologist in the world. And it’s totally free . How truly blessed we are to have the sacrament of confession. God bless both of you and all priests and religious. 🙏✝️☘️🇺🇸🇮🇪

We receive complete absolution for our confessed sins, both mortal and venial. But…we MUST make the reparations here on Earth for those sins, as well as doing any penance the priest metes out to us. If we don’t make the reparations, then we must atone for them with Purgatory time. We can completely avoid the Purgatory time with reparations, and we can all look online at some good Catholic sites to find specific and non specific (that’s when a personal reparation to anyone we did harm to, would cause more harm then good, whether for you or for your victim) ways to do penitent reparations on Earth.
The first confession in a while after not going for so long, an be devastating! The embarrassment, shame, that we are feeling during any Confession, truly comes from satan, who is tempting you with pride so you’ll cut off some sins from our soul because we let satan sit with us when we confess.
Bring a note with you and have everything written down so you forget nothing. Spend a really long time in contemplation, really examining your conscience, especially in the listing of every single mortal sins that you have committed.
But, do look into the penitent reparations for our sins, so we do the work here, not in Purgatory being purified by fire, for a length of time that we have no idea how long it could be!! We want to be pure in our souls at the time of our death, even from venial sins, because NO sin can enter Heaven!! Our souls have to be completely pure…just as they were when we were babies and we were baptized!!!!!
Get the Brown Scapular from Our Lady of Mount Carmel and take it to your priest so he can do the very specific prayers he must say over it before he blesses it with Holy Water. Wear it exactly like it is! Don’t put it in plastic sheaths or anything like that.
Now, during every Rosary, Jesus and Mary have promised to remove 500 days off of our Purgatory time with each reverent kiss!! One Rosary will remove 26,500 days from any Purgatory time we may receive at our death, if we die with venial sins!!! One week of Rosaries and reverently kissing the brown scapular during each Hail Mary, will give a person, 185,500 days off of Purgatory time!!!

I hope I haven’t freaked you out about anything due to your confession. You can always seek the counsel of your priest about it.
Your personal experience seems extraordinary and I can completely understand how it made you feel. It happened to me, too, almost a year ago. I hadn’t been to Confession or Mass or prayed for anything but selfish pattering. I knew better, too. I grew up a pre-Vatican II Catholic and my mom was astounded at the changes in Mass, and prayers, and the removal of chapel caps for women, and a nice dress codes for all, even small children. The removal of the St. Michael the Archangel prayer at the end of Mass devastated her. But, she was so strong in her Faith, that she kept her responses and omitted prayers as part of her voice in church. I was a teenager in the late 1970’s and I’ll admit, she embarrassed me. Now I know that was satan tempting me to use pride, the deadliest of all sins, against me!! It took me years to find a holy priest that I felt connected to who explained all of that to me. Now, I say what I know from pre-Vatican II Mass, I cover my head, and I kneel out on the floor during the Consecration Miracles. I also pray out loud, in Latin, for many of the things, and I have NEVER, EVER taken the Consecrated Host of the Body of Christ into my hands! I kneel down, and present my tongue. I truly don’t care who thinks what about what I do lol! Those folks aren’t going to save my soul…that’s my job!!

Also, lol, tell your friends or family who tell you that you can tell God your sins yourself, that
#1) Confession is not just about absolution and forgiveness for sins, it is also a place to receive many graces, particularly graces that come from the act of humility we are doing, just like the Good Thief on the cross who humbled himself in front of Jesus who showed him what forgiveness is when He told him that “this day, you will be with Me in Paradise!” The Good Thief’s reparations were him dying as he did;
#2) let them know that if they don’t follow and receive the Sacraments that are available for us to be forgiven and to receive immense graces that will aid us in the avoidance of sin, that they WILL tell God, face to face, when they die, because they never received the Sacrament of Reconciliation. As a result of their prideful way of making God almost simplistic about our sins, like it’s not going to be a big deal. It WILL be, and if they have mortal sins on their souls at the time of each of their deaths, that were not confessed and no absolution was given to them by the priest, and no reparations were made while on earth…I hate to say it, but their souls will be among the damned for all of eternity.
They might get mad at you for telling them this, but you can always say some vehement and fervent woman on UA-cam told me to tell you this, because I love you and I want you in Heaven with me!

Please pray for the priests , especially before you enter the sacramental moment. They need our spiritual support. The more I pray for the priest before I go into confession, pray for him to hear the word of God for me and for everyone going to confession that day, the more beautiful the confession time is not just me but for the priest.

@@jimjustjim976 This was predicted by Our Lady of FATIMA! That; I Believe is Why Garabandal has happened! I have known about Garabandal ever since I was young! My parents had a second conversion when they only had 2 Children and we're going to move to Florida and then my Dad's cousin visited them and brought the book of Fatima and information about it! I am 7th born of 10 Catholic Children!!! Obviously they Never moved to Florida and I am ever So Great full To my Dad's cousin and Our Lady! Fatima is one of my favorite movies; as is The Song of Bernadette! I watched Bernadette over and over throughout my life! My Dad had passed on Bernadette's feast day! My parents had gotten the video's on Garabandal when I was still living at home! I have always believed! And when my Youngest Son was not even two years old; we were waiting in my car for my daughter to come out from kindergarten! My little Aaron Peter was playing with the electric windows; when all of a sudden he stood up on the seat; fell forward with his little hands on the dashboard. His head looking up into the sky; I watched his breathing and Studied his whole breathing; as it was calm and very perfect! He said; A Great Fire Will Come upon the Whole Earth! I said WHAT? You must know that he couldn't talk; he had a bad speach impediment even until 3rd grade when his teacher finally told me she couldn't understand him!!! Well, I was very familiar with the girls from Garabandal and how it looks when someone is deeply in a vision! He repeated The Very Same Words Again; Perfectly! I said; WHEN?? No Reply! He remained staring up for about 3 more minutes I'd say! Then He just dropped back down in the front seat and went right back to playing with the electric windows! Little did I know he would end up being an electrician! Not for very long though before He ended up having a arc of electricity blow up in his face! I hate to say that it was his own cousin who caused it! But that is only a part of his long life of emense suffering! Just as Father said; suffering is The Way! As this Life here is Not Where We Belong! When I was about 5 years old, it was my first experience with The Lord! He had; in a dream vision; taken me across from my second home; Holy Angels Church! It was midnight; and I watched two lines of dark hooded men coming around the corner from down the side street and all the way up going into The Church! Jesus let me know that they were the bad men who Entered into his Church purposely to try to destroy it from within! As I grew up; I became my Father's whiteness to his beliefs; that Vatican Two was Not Going to be Good at all for God's Church! As my Dad always said; God remains The Same Yesterday Today and Tomorrow! He makes NO MISTAKES! And he also said; there are No Coincidence's in Life! I found out how true that is! God is So Precise in all things in One's Life when One Gives their Will To Him! Those precision's in one's life; let one know, they are on the right path! Even when One does not know what will happen next! As it has been ever since My Retreat Father! When The Holy SPIRIT had Blown into me and totally took away my worries about leaving my 4 children with their father for a whole weekend!!! God Is So Good To Us! Love Him with all that You are! Because He Loves You with All that He Is! And That LOVE IS HUGE! Amen! Trust and Believe! What Our Beautiful LORD HAS WAITING FOR US IS SO AMAZING and SO UNBELIEVABLY WONDERFUL! Amen!

June 2012 I was converted during an Epiphany. Not long after I had a dream. The sky was closing like a black curtain covering the sky, people were screaming and falling to the ground in prayer. I was calling out to them Repent! Repent! Then within seconds the curtain closed, the sky was black. Over the last few days It was strongly placed on my heart and mind to paint it. I'm happy to share it. God bless

Fr Colm where are you ? I was laughing there. At night I usually put something on low in background as I try to fall asleep. I had never heard of either of you. I never listen to priests. I had a bad experience with one a long time ago but I won't get into that. It's over and I sincerely hope he's whole and healed in Heaven now. Got me all pensive. I did leave but I came back. I tried to read myself out of Catholicism. Expected, wanted to. It had been my foundation but betrayal left it in tatters. But Our Lady I never gave up on - ever. I mentioned in the first video I saw, that I was introduced to Her in our chapel at five years old, lighting a candle with my mother and asking all these questions. Bernadette had a candle and was looking up to a Woman I was told was 'God's mammy' whose gaze was set higher. To God I was told. A long time ago and I still see it. Then the filthy heathens took the grotto and shoved it at back outside the chapel and eventually - years later Mary was put into chapel - but at the back. I could go have gone down and read the riot act to them. But the war is long over. You cannot have a family without the Mother in Her place. When they did that they destroyed something. I am not one of those mad traddies. No way. I could not relate to Jesus for years. He was a man and could not be trusted. After years I go into the same chapel - broken, in darkness and ask 'are you there ? If you are there help me, show me something ?' I was contemplating the worst. I had achieved academically and was bright enough. But it was like a neutron bomb had been dropped into the core of my being. Nothing. Hell wasn't hot. It was hot only through being so dark and cold and empty. Then I felt what seemed like a female presence. Powerful. I could 'see' her but not outside - more inside. She had a little boy and said to me, 'K this is my son in whose image I am made and you too are made. All humanity is made. You were created to be loved and to love eternally - infinitely'. Something lit in me and I began to pray again. I had a fight ahead. She was gonna be my advocate as always. Later I saw an image from the Eastern Orthodox church and it was like that - where Mary presents Her son to each of us. Very profound. I am still here torturing everyone. :) I read into other religions hoping to find one I could fit. Take Mary with me and in some way Jesus - the boy. But they all damned more souls to hell than the Catholic Church it seemed. It was insane. It took decades but I made my return and still here. The Cross is the doorway to eternity. All time and space meet at that point. All before and after Jesus go through that doorway. This is what Mary helped me understand. Not in words or visions/hallucinations. In the heart. Love the answer. But, in a way, I think maybe for us all - I had to be broken to be remade. In Oscar Wilde's 'Reading Gaol' there is a line - 'For how else but through a broken heart can Lord Christ (The Light) enter in...' Later in another poem, Hound of Heaven - 'All which thy child's mistake fancies as lost I have stored for thee at Home. Rise, clasp My hand and come....' Long and beautiful piece. So I am left sitting listening to these two talking about whatever and waiting Garabandal and next thing out like a light. Awake at 4am and you are still blethering. I thought might be someone else - but must have stuck to your channel. It was interesting story. I must find out more. The Lard works in mysterious ways.... to frazzle the bacon. I need another few hours. I never ever imagined this. But it might be something to someone. Reading to know we are not alone. I found that any and all kinds of abuse - from whatever source - blinds us to Beauty. That dark dark evening in the chapel - Momma Mary gave me back my sight to see Her Son anew. Beauty - all about us and in us - one of MANY names of Our GOOD GOD/Creator. God bless and keep kissing the Blarney Stone's arse. It's your muse. lol
The power of confession is so indescribable. Healing like no other. A free gift from Jesus that we all desperately need to break all the chains of vice that enslave us in this world.
Jesus said, "I have come so that they may have life, and have it to the full."
After many decades, I was "Found". The devil tried to convince me thru those around me not to go to Confession but I went anyway - tearful but great. Confession it is said is better than 100 Exorcisms. Garabandal of all Our Lady's apparitions captured my attention and I just knew it was true. I visited it and the Peace is overwhelming. A little piece of Heaven on Earth. Prayers for Fathers Colm and Luke.

The rosary has been a massive help in my life. It is the most subtle help there is but also the most potent.

I was thinking of what I needed ti confess today and had I sinned enough and I though no. But after listening I see every reason to confess those feelings of irritation of irritation of those who argue and how I need to confess my lack of real forgiveness. The petty disputes we have and our feelings of anger and irritation

Definitely fathers! I'm embarrassed to make a good confession! Because I know my priest, I know I am so sinful and I put off confession as I'm too embarrassed! But I take your point that you need courage! Also I'm inspired by st faustina! Thankyou and please pray for me!
I go to confession at a neighboring church..because my priest also knows me. I find it much easier to confess my sins. I know the priest is in persona Christi..but he is also human. So it helps to cut out some of that personnel judgement.

Powerful, and Holy Spirit anointed, explanation of the power of Confession/Reconciliation that is administered by the priest to a humble and contrite penitent. I have always believed, as you explained, that 95% or more of our problems and emotional psychological disorders would remedy themselves if people would just go to Confession regularly and believe in its power. I used to just spit out on psychology and sociology college class tests what my instructors wanted to hear, but I believed that my Catholic faith is the reason for being mentally and emotionally healthy.
This was the most beautiful discussion/explanation of confession I have heard. Never heard it discussed so deeply before and I understood the transformation. Praise be to God, our Father. Amazing. Thank you.

Everything today has everything to do with Garabandala. It's the least spoke about and it's very important and very message from Our Blessed Mother. She is trying to save us ....Hail Mary full of Grace...
Why is it that Garabandal is so unheard of amongst the people ? I have never met one person who had heard of Garabandal until I mentioned it to them. I know there have been recent films about the subject, these should be promoted more. The messages given to the children are so similar to those given to the children at Fatima and those given to Sr. Agnes Sasagawa in Akita Japan. I believe they are all linked and the Church knows this. The failure of the Church to promote Garabandal had much to do with their reluctance to accept the truth of many Cardinals, Bishops and Priests being on the road to perdition. An absolutely unbelievable statement in the Catholic world of the early 1960's, time has sadly proven this statement by Our Lady to be all too accurate. The Popes and hierarchy of the Church need to give public support to the messages of Our Lady at Garabandal, Our Lady would not have wanted them to offer only private support, which is what has happened, then again Our Lady would have known what their reactions were to be. Everyone should use whatever influence they have to inform as many people about these messages during their lifetimes.
Confessor priests are hard to find.
Parts of Fatima really scared the three visionaries.......
Our Lady felt inclined to let them experience a brief view of Hell so that they would know that it’d reality. She reminded young Francesco that he was destined to experience Purgatory unless he prayed and repented..

I'm enjoying these talks about Garabandal apparitions so much (and all the other wide-ranging talks by the Fathers). I'm now becoming convinced that these Garabandal visions are genuine. I am not convinced the Medjugorje apparitions are genuine, though I believe God will respond to anyone who comes to Him in sincerity, including undertaking pilgrimages to places Our Lady did not actually appear. Who's ever gone on a retreat and not had God show up? He always shows up, if only we turn to Him in sincerity! Here's my question, though, for Fathers Colm and Luke. What about Joey, who died without getting a pair of eyes and seeing the Miracle? Conchita said those events would occur. But Joey died without receiving the new eyes or seeing the miracle. So I'm confused about that. Anyone have a response out there?
Faith in Jesus coming keeps us strongly running.
When I was a Capuchin friar we were encouraged to pray with arms extended; it's a Franciscan trait.
I am just beginning to learn more about this apparition. What is striking me so far is the humility associated with it. Again, I am just beginning to research it. On the other hand, when I look at Mejagorie, things look quite different, even to the point of someone calling me a heretic because I don't believe that Mejagorie is legitimate - even though The Church does not say that we have to believe in even approved apparitions It is as though their Faith so depends on it that they become very angry if you question it. That is not humility.

You seem like someone who truly cares. With all due respect, you would be better served studying the Our Lady of Good Success apparitions. Also as the above commenter stated, Fatima, Akita, and La Salette. When I first began my studies of Marian apparitions and prophecies, I loved hearing about Garabandal. I was convinced. However, after years of study, I’m not comfortable believing in it anymore. It’s just too different from the previously approved prophecies. I strongly encourage you to become intimately familiar with those and then study Garabandal with the intent of truly honoring our Blessed Mother.

Question for Fr. Luke and/or Fr.Colm: I've felt the need to confess for a while now (this video helped), but bishops and priests (catholic) in my community openly support and defend communists, abortion and they simply seem to be ok with evil. What can I do? Any suggestions? I just don't feel comfortable confessing to these so called catholic priests, it doesn't feel right.

If it makes you feel any better, the sacraments are valid whether the priest is priest is in a state of grace or mortal sin. For instance, the transubstantiation of the Eucharist happens no matter whether the priest is good or bad.

I would just like to add some information regarding Joey not getting his eyesight before he passed away. There was a posted comment about this on another site stated by a man named Marc Conza. who personally knew him. He said that Joey offered the cure of his eyesight back to The Lord, for the greater good of God.

I remember in 1995 going to apparitions in Falmouth KY...Even before Mother Mary appeared to the visionary, I would take a picture of the sun with a polarized camera. Sensus fidelium has put out this this is not of God. This and bayside prophecies, I love the stories and it has brought me closer to God. They say that our holy mother would not allow children to suffer like that. And they describe that the running backwards our mother would not do. I have my own question like the our Blessed Mother said that that blind man would be allowed to see before he dies? He has died some time back and what happened. I really need to know I feel lost.

It has been something that has been buried and misunderstood for a long time, due to suppression. I can understand you discomfort. I am not anything and have no qualifications but I have read the first tryptic of Dante s Divine Comedy. In the "Inferno" - if I recall correctly, in one of the rings of hell some sinners are walking backwards. Clearly, that is a piece of art, but the appeal of the whole poem lo these 800 years later suggest he may have been divinely privileged. So, perhaps that frightening image is worth considering which Sinn would cause eternal "backwards running", which is exhausting.
