    Hey guys, in this video we are going to show you how to remove and replace turn signal light switch, windshield wiper switch, and cruise control switch assembly on Dodge Charger or Dodge magnum. We demonstrated on a 2007 Dodge Magnum. Unfortunately you will have to remove the driver side air bag and clock spring to get to the switches. So it looked like the combination switch and the clock spring needed to be replaced? I see clock springs brand new have a red pull tag on them, not sure what that is all about.

    I hope you guys have to do the multifunction switch or clock sping again as you used permanent Loctite. Feel sorry for the poor soul who has to take that a apart again as they are SOL.

    • @95z28onjuice
      @95z28onjuice 5 років тому +1

      The original bolt had loctite on it and they removed it no issue. You should always put loctite on the steering wheel bolts.

      Not RED threadlock (which is what they used) - you use BLUE if you ever want to take that apart again. RED threadlock is just this side of a spot weld, only for stuff that you will never, ever disassemble again. Blue will keep it from ever coming loose, but can be disassembled later if needed - that's what was on there when they took it apart.

    I just brought my car in for service at the dealer to replace a rubber boot on the interior steering column that was causing the steering wheel to squeak when turned. After picking up the car i noticed the turn signals stopped automatically shutting off after using them. Could they have broken this turn signal switch while servicing the car because they are calling it a coincidence. BTW '08 Charger Daytona Ed.

    I know my signal switch is broke, but I think there are pieces floating around because when I turn my steering wheel I can hear a crunching noise. Sometimes my steering wheel gets a bit stuck and is hard to turn. I guess I need to replace the whole thing.

  • @jonphelps7996

    My problem is y wheel keeps clicking when signal is not on and some times engages so is it my turn signal switch or crocheting that would need replaced.

    Thank you for this video, it's definitely going to aid me in fixing my girlfriends car but I wanted to get your opinion on something beforehand. Her dad accidentally hooked the car battery up backwards some time ago and the turn signal switch doesn't work anymore, I have tested all the relays and fuses and none of them have been damaged and everything in the car works perfectly except for the switch. The switch is the only thing I haven't messed with but ordered the part for half the cost while it was on sale, does it sound feasible that her father hooking it up backwards fried the switch? I honestly can't think of anything else given every other piece of electronics is working perfectly fine. It's a 2005 Dodge Magnum if that is any help at all, thank you for any insight you have on the issue.
