You'll probably have to get in there and see how the webbing was original attached, and replicate that for your repair. Maybe they used clips instead of staples. Thanks

Hi I'm wanting to make a bench seat in my camper using webbing but I really want to be able to sink into the seat like the most comfortable sofa, what foam etc should I use please? Thank you
I would use 4" 2235 foam. Or 2" of 2235 on the bottom, and 2" of 1818 on top for a really soft seat that you sink into. The cover affects the fit as well. Leather and vinyl make a stiffer seat than cloth. Good luck!
Other pneumatic staplers may work, but I wouldn't recommend a manual or electric stapler. They don't set the staples flush, and become a serious hassle. Thanks!
I want to replace the rubber webbing on several pieces of mid-century modern furniture, but the dish couch. I have utilizes loops at the end of the webbing, which is the intentioned by a wooden rod. What sort of clips or rivets would you use to make loops at the endof webbing. The chair we have would utilize the metal clips that slide in Otts that are pre-cut in the wood frame of the furniture so that seems like a pretty simple straightforward fix any help would be greatly appreciated.
question...was thinking of using webbing around a custom frame 75" x 30" for camper bed...would this support an individual laying down on this? Obviously there would be a mat that would go on top. Seems like if would help with comfort? Thanks
Hi Mandy, I would remove the dust cover from underneath and use these... amzn.to/3O7LTaU Or these if you already have the webbing... amzn.to/492EIJ7 Good luck with it!
Thank you, from a beginner in the art of restoration😉
You got this!

Thank you, I've always wanted to do some small sit.
Yes, Jute webbing is worth a try. Thanks!
If you're going the route of just using tacks rather than staples, what length of tacks should you use?
I like 3/4" tacks if the frame is thick enough. Thanks
I have some beautiful old frames and I am clueless as to how to upholster them!

@@TheThoughtfulWoodworker Thank you so much for your reply!!!
Outstanding work. 👍👍
Thanks! Appreciate it. Best to you.
Try your hand at stretching traditional jute webbing with these techniques.
Would a regular heavy duty staple gun with 1/2 staples work for this?

Sorry, I'm having trouble deciphering your message. Usually I anchor webbing to wooden frames or the furniture frame itself.

Yes, jute webbing can work in that application so long as the frame is strong enough. I usually use 1" thick hardwood.
Thanks
Thank you for your video. Question, which is better for a sofa, zig-zag bars or jute webbing or elastic-latex bands?
Thank you so much
@@ivankostyuchik5824 Zigzag springs will be a little more comfortable on a sofa, but jute is common too.
how do i upholster an oval/round back arm chair (backrest cushion) with a needlepoint tapestry?
How can I install elastic webbing to the underside of a sofa as as I can’t remove the leather covering ?

can i use red strap webbing in a 3*6 feet bed ? is it strong enough ?
I think it would be plenty strong, but it will sleep more like a cot. It won't stay flat enough to support a mattress. Best to you.
what is the difference between red and black striped jute webbing?
Red stripe is stronger and good for seats. Black stripe is for backrest applications that aren't under so much stress. Best to you.
