90-95° copared to 75-80° with pad? If you put its fan on max, no matter what you do on laptop temp won't go above 80° outside of peaks. As a user of this cooling fan will give you a minor trick to those that consider giving it a shot. First test all the degrees of elevation and see how much does improve the temps, to me the best cooling is at the second elevation point, less or more than that I noticed worst results Also with the metal brackets test the 3 distances to see which one cools better, to me was the second distance Keep the dust filter clean as much as possible, on a week without cleaning some dust will get inside no matter what All of this was tested with a Legion 7i 2021 so your knowledge may vary Side note been using this fan since December of 2021 (only on gaming sessions at top speed) and to this day (July 2023) hasn't give any issue, the performance of the fan probably is not brand new but still cools like a beast
I have been eyeing this specific model for a while, but was wondering if it providing so much air pressure might damage the laptop fans. what are your thoughts on this? amazing review btw! my laptop is the legion 5 one
Maybe depends on the laptop, someone tested it and even a full speed the laptops own fans were not spinning. Also theres no need to use it max speed, i dont.
Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't it be better to remove the crappy little laptop fan if using one of these? Imo the small laptop fan is both impeding this fans airflow and causing turbulence, I would be interested to see temperatures of a system using only this aftermarket product with no internal fans whatsoever but it's not out of this world to assume providing even more airflow for this beast would improve matters.
RGB is colors such as RED GREEN BLUE, The RGB model just has rainbow color lights which you can turn on when using the cooling pad. Its the same as the non-rgb but with lights
Currently using this beast of a cooling dock for 7-8 months now, but today it just randomly shuts down and turns on again (all while the led lights are on). Anyone knows how to fix this issue or has this issue as well?
How harmful is this cooling pad for laptop fans? Isn't there a risk that the fans overshoot and thus strain the (fan) ball bearings, as it blows air with 5000 rpm?
has a similar one and used it since 2019 for my ROG gu502gv still didn't encounter any problems with fans but ever since 2022 I have gotten myself a desktop and didn't use my laptop very often for gaming
I know I'm late to this, but someone actually made a test by turning off the laptop, and putting the cooling fans on max speed. What he observed was that the laptop fans weren't moving at all, so it's safe to say that it won't necessarily do the laptop fans any harm. In case you're wondering, he was able to observe it by putting his phone inside the cooler, with light pointing towards the laptop. Although, you'd also keep in mind that the laptop he used was I think the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro.
@@moshimic5628 Interesting topic. The IETS from half to top fan speed slows down the MSI Crosshair's fans by 150-350 rpm when cooler boost is on, they can not reach their maximum speed. The temperatures are okay, so not a big deal, the question is that how will this affect the lifespan of the fans. The air current is so strong that the fan blades have a hard time biting into it, which slows them down, instead of overshootig them.
I don't mind the sound as I have my Klim Cool and window fan on blast 24/7. A higher pitched jet engine won't make much of a difference But I'm more concerned about my internal fans

If you have a low end or bottom-closed laptop where usually the cooler tries to get air OUT of the bottom, then absolutely yes. The air pressure is bigger because of the industrial fan and your laptop cooler will indeed create resistance and then it'll eventually spin backwards to accommodate the airflow and make air get out of the back or sides. However this will NEVER ruin your laptop. It'll ruin your cheap cooler in some months or a year, but not your laptop. If anything your laptop will have an increased lifespan because of it running cooler meaning the hardware doesn't have to stress enough. It's basic physics and common hardware knowledge.

Hi there! Is gt500 5000rpm still the best in cooling performance? Or you'd recommend more the another one? What about a difference between the gt500-600, llano v10-12? Which is the best for cooling in your opinion?

Hi Tyrial in your last live stream I asked you about IETS GT500 and now you have uploaded a review video on it too that's so quick 🔥🔥
I listen man. I really do haha
@@TechTyrial Appreciate your content man 😉🙌🏻
The cooling pad temperature was only 4-5°c lower than that of the elevated temperature. That's kind of disappointing when you consider that elevating a laptop is free. While this cooler is not cheap at all.
90-95° copared to 75-80° with pad? If you put its fan on max, no matter what you do on laptop temp won't go above 80° outside of peaks. I tested a few games on total max settings in 1440p and 4k and temperature never went above 80.
The biggest downside is how loud it gets on max settings if you play w/o headset😅
So weird i was genuinely looking for videos about the gt300 and gt500 just yesterday and didnt find anything that was quite a good review but so glad you released this! Just a quick question though, am i to understand that this cooling pad is powered by its own ac adapter?
Yes! I totally forgot to mention that! 🥲
@@TechTyrial What does it change if its powered by its own ac adapter?
@@faint.2396 if you plug it into your laptop while gaming it takes electricity from the laptop and thus dropping the laptop's performance and the game itself ( drop in frame rate). That's why I'm looking for another one to buy.
Can it be used without the ac?
Tech content creators should start to always input the decibel levels machines reach during testing. Regardless of whether you use headphones or not, it's one of the things I think is important and rarely talked about.
If it's to reduce 4 or 5 degrees of temperature but have a jet plane next to my ear, I don't see any advantage in that.
Do you have to plug it into the wall or can you use it personaly?
Great video thank you. How does this compare to the "Massive 20" cooling pad?
If ya considering the KLIM mistral, get the iets500 instead. It is wayyy stronger and provides the most cooling. I’ll do suggest getting the KLIM tempest and attach them to your laptops side ports with the laptop cooler to maintain even lowered temps, especially if your gaming for HOURS. I have two KLIM tempest on my laptop and the iets gt500…. Just know I game for 5 hours and it be running cool af.
You have turned your laptop into frankenstein 🤣👌
what r u rich.
Did you attach the KLIM tempest on the back of your laptop or on the sides?
just one tempest? if so you put it on cpu side?
@@completelytransparent6320 Yeah but at the only places where I can put them is at the back of the Laptop and at the right side. But the right side wouldn't work for me since its too close to the mouse.
I recently got GT600, did not expect much of a change in temps, just got it for my peace of mind. I was so wrong, I don’t even use it at max power (2200rpm) I use it at 1200 and it still cools my laptop by 20° less while gaming
That means the old version 4600 rpm more than enough
Amazing performance. If you want even better thermals, you can repaste your laptop with premium thermal paste, and also undervolt the GPU as well as underclock the CPU.
You get similar performance but about 20 degrees cooler temps.
You can also avoid thermal throttling.

The iets gt500 hands down 😁
Do you think the gt500 is better than the g300 for m'y msi gp66 11uh ? ^^
As a user of this cooling fan will give you a minor trick to those that consider giving it a shot.
First test all the degrees of elevation and see how much does improve the temps, to me the best cooling is at the second elevation point, less or more than that I noticed worst results
Also with the metal brackets test the 3 distances to see which one cools better, to me was the second distance
Keep the dust filter clean as much as possible, on a week without cleaning some dust will get inside no matter what
All of this was tested with a Legion 7i 2021 so your knowledge may vary
Side note been using this fan since December of 2021 (only on gaming sessions at top speed) and to this day (July 2023) hasn't give any issue, the performance of the fan probably is not brand new but still cools like a beast
Is there any chance of damaging the laptop fans at the max speed ?
Does it work on asus tuf a17 because it does not have much vents like other laptops people say cooling pad doesn't work on asus laptops😢
Hey. I bought the non rgb model. There was no usb cable inside. What does the usb cable do?
One question; Can you have this pad on your lap?
i have a msi vector gp66 12700h 3070ti it improves my performance by 30% at maximum speed, and it very loud but well its worth it
Is this cooler big enough to use with Dell Alienware m17 R4?
What about 15.6-inch laptops? I'm unsure which foam to use.
Bro is good for Acer nitro 5? And also what is rgb? I want buy from amazong but they are 3 models thx
RGB is colors such as RED GREEN BLUE, The RGB model just has rainbow color lights which you can turn on when using the cooling pad. Its the same as the non-rgb but with lights
how does this compare to the GT300S?
Currently using this beast of a cooling dock for 7-8 months now, but today it just randomly shuts down and turns on again (all while the led lights are on). Anyone knows how to fix this issue or has this issue as well?
How harmful is this cooling pad for laptop fans?
Isn't there a risk that the fans overshoot and thus strain the (fan) ball bearings, as it blows air with 5000 rpm?
has a similar one and used it since 2019 for my ROG gu502gv
still didn't encounter any problems with fans
but ever since 2022 I have gotten myself a desktop and didn't use my laptop very often for gaming
It's just a fucking rumours there is no one encounter this shit
I know I'm late to this, but someone actually made a test by turning off the laptop, and putting the cooling fans on max speed. What he observed was that the laptop fans weren't moving at all, so it's safe to say that it won't necessarily do the laptop fans any harm. In case you're wondering, he was able to observe it by putting his phone inside the cooler, with light pointing towards the laptop. Although, you'd also keep in mind that the laptop he used was I think the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro.
@@moshimic5628 I have topmate k5 CP my laptop fans stop working when CPU and GPU reach 35c!
Does the iets 500 need to be plugged into the wall to work or does it just work on its own?
I know it says up to 17inch but i have a 18inch. Do you know of one that will work with a 18 or would this work with a 18inch?

I don't mind the sound as I have my Klim Cool and window fan on blast 24/7. A higher pitched jet engine won't make much of a difference
But I'm more concerned about my internal fans

@DoseofHorror Hi I have a similar laptop, I just have one question:
Does the exhaust vents need to be on the bottom of the laptop? Or does it also work with vents on the side? Thanks
Doubt it can work with MacBooks cuz there vents on sides and fan is underneath won't help or does it 🤔
I don't want this to cool down 5 degrees, it's to keep dust out of my laptop fans. So this tank looks ok for that, isnt it?.

PLEASE ANSWER! Can this laptop cooling pad ruin your laptop by making the fans on your laptop spin opposite directions?
No.
