One thing I think flies over peoples heads, or at least they are too obtuse to realize, is that the Oriṣa live MANY lives and that this tradition was passed down orally for centuries. I've heard three different versions of the same story from my odu from 3 different elders (2 Isese and 1 Lucumi), but I didn’t say "oh that person was completely wrong because that's not what I originally heard." I looked at the similarities and the overall message itself was the same for all three versions. Point being that I think these systems are more alike than different. I think we are all stronger together. Other religions are always going to spew hatred and shame disguised as "deliverance" but followers of Ifa-Oriṣa should find a way to get along and support each other. We don't have to be "right" and dictate what the other side is doing wrong. Do what works for you and your house. We're stronger together. No one wins when the family fueds.
