They know his gear isn't right as soon as he gets in....just have him get out and fix it. The supervisor put him in a dangerous spot for no reason.
Terrible supervising and attending of a brand new diver under pressure, what a company & top group of blokes!
That’s a terrible hat to over breathe. And no buoyancy. Mid water. I guess it makes for good TV but they know he is going to struggle.
Isnt it tenders fault?
What the fuck guys? Diver sent to the water without equipment check??!!! Blaming the diver then?
1st he is new to the job
2nd he is stressed
That's the type of company divers shall avoid to work with..... 150k is not worth a life
They gotta create drama somehow, its a show that relies on it so they can retain viewers. It is staged to a degree.

Im a commercial diver. The fast rate of breathing due to over exertion because he cannot obtain neutral bouyancy, combined the fact his entire head is in an enclosed space means the sound of his breathing echo's around the helmet drowns out the voice of his supervisor. Also with the struggle to remain in control and composed may not put him in a panic but will put him on edge. All this is a recipe for failure. If this was an exam to get his diving qualification he would have failed
