- Most of you by now have heard of the fan mad mod for a remaster of MW2. Well today i wanted to show that off and compare it to the OG mw2.

I grew up with Cold War and yes I like the fast paced movement but I keep finding myself going back to play black ops 1 the best cod ever. So nice stereotype lol
The kids can't understand what this means to us, we grew up playing this game back in the day this is just perfect
It isn't built by Activision
But by a community of modders
So it's not a official Activision project
Let's hope that it doesn't get shutdown like sm2 by Activision
Both OG and remastered is great
True BUT the difference between this and SM2 was originally gonna need the OG MW2 owned on steam which saved it. Then when they went to H1 owning MWR was no longer a requirement (foolish I know) and that was what sealed its fate but THIS. This you need to own MWR on steam so it gets Activision money soooooo fingers crossed. You could bring copyright into it but BO3 mods exist soooooooooooooooooooo

It won’t get shut down it’s more like Plutonium. SM2 got shut down due to them making their on game but this is simply a MWR mod which means it likely won’t get shut down. On top of this they are dropping so soon that activation won’t be able to cease and desist it before they launch lol so people will play no matter what. The only thing getting activations eyes on this is the mod causing MWR to be the top 2 seller on steam 😂😂

Guys, it is not getting shut down. It is just a mod for a game that you have to purchase on Steam. This is why Plutonium is still up, you need the Steam version. The ones that got shut down were allowing pirated versions and providing them.

Even Nintendo couldn't go after Yuzu if they weren't caught ripping game files and distributing them for free/Teaching people how to pirate games for their software.
If they aren't using Official/stolen assets on their end, and it's truly just a mod that requires you to provide your own copy of the game for everything to work, it's very hard to build a case on IP infringement.

Call of duty knows why they didn’t do a mw2 multiplayer remastered because that’s all we would have been playing for the next 5-10 years. No one would have bought the yearly cod because look at it the past 8 cods have been trash. I’m a Fan of MW 2019 though.
100% I refused to buy COD when they put out vangaurd. MW got me because it had all of the OG MW2 maps. Once they added other maps I quit.
I will not buy any COD until MW2 is remastered.
@@Rudgged there’s nothing to grind for either. Calling card grinding and to Prestige was my drug to hop on the game everyday and grind and play.

Which is exactly the reason why they’ll probably shut this down sooner rather than later. Of course, after the initial profit they’ll make from people buying the remastered version as a requirement to run this
Cold War is still slept on. The sound design in that game is unmatched. The gunplay is fun and competitive and a lot more like the classic cod feel than the need for speed MW3 thing

the closest thing you’ll get to old gen cod is Arctic Combat, its a free to play fps game that plays exactly like cod4.

Console guys, make an effort, if you don't have a pc it's fine. It can be an high cost, but steam deck and rog ally are there. And steam deck can be put on tv with the dock like a console.

we complained when lost mw2 movement. I ran lightweight pro and ninja pro. If you were good you could rush in this game and you had to be smart about it. We also never got the quick scoping back. The acr and ump were never the same. Going to be fun to play.

I advise everyone to wait with this. You can only play this on PC, and ONLY if you purchase COD 4 Remastered. Activision is probably waiting for money to come in from people hyping this game up, resulting in a flood of purchases of COD4 Remastered. And then they will cease & desist this project after a shit load of people bought COD4 Remastered to play this MW2 Remastered.
That’s exactly what happened. I’m glad I didn’t take advantage of this because I knew it was going to happen.

og mw2 on steam looks better than the h2m mod, h2m textures are so blurry
Idk if the older ones are cross play after the server update a couple months ago, but I still play the original mw2 consistently and usually either TDM or Domination you can find a match still pretty easily. Hell I was playing last night lol
