We advise parents to do background checks on neighbors, especially if they are new in town, before letting kids go door to door to do trick or treat. Who knows, there might be sex offenders, criminals, or serial killers in the neighborhood. Aside from that, if they feel that something isn't right, tell kids not to go near specific houses.
