I lived in Alaska most all my adult life, thirty five years. When I retired and couldn’t take the extreme colds anymore, I moved to beautiful Colorado. The people are good here too. Like in Alaska. I just knew I couldn’t go back to Indiana. Lol. ❤️ Colorado.

I grew up in the metro area. I remember when Highlands Ranch was a farmers field; Chatfield Rsvr didn't exist; I-225 stopped at Mississippi and everything was field from Chambers Rd east and Alameda south in Aurora. That was merely back in the late 60's to early 70's too. The metro area has grown so much since then.

The road through the national monument in Grand Junction to fruita lake is spectacular.
    Been up there many times.
Glenwood canyon used to be a beautiful drive before they put the new highway in.
One of my favorites was the drive through Indian hills , but I think Grand mesa is equally as pretty.

Tyler, my father lived in the cabin that H.A. Smith built, and we used to swim in the pools just down from there.
At on time the Younger brothers cousins lived farther up and my Father played with them.
My GrandFather died there in escalante, buried in montrose.
Have you seen the Walker cabin made of river rock? Pretty cool!
Yes, there are those who die in the pots but usually because theyre drinking and or careless.

I grew up in Colorado and always find these places new and refreshing but Denver has gotten so crowded with people from other states that to go to any of these places today is just heartbreaking. With the new comers loud and boisterous talk, cars parked everywhere and then them not knowing what every Coloradoan knows "pack out what you pack in" means litter everywhere, its amazing the disrespect. Now days, one must pay a price and be escorted to see Hanging Lake, kids went there and spray painted many of the rock and it's really all too much..ua-cam.com/video/7vNKW4b5svc/v-deo.html

I’m touring Colorado right now from California. I plan on moving here. Basically everywhere I’ve gone is beautiful. It’s a very relaxing state.
The only thing I don’t like is Denver and the food. Denver is very boring and the night life is underwhelming. I’m used to every city having at least one street where it’s back to back bars and clubs but every bar in Denver is few and far in between. Locals suggest Larimer square but really larimer square would be what i would expect from a small town. The food has also not impressed. Idk what I’m going to do when I no longer have access to good Mexican and Asian food. Denver is due for a food and drink cultural revolution in which it needs to define itself.

It's pronounced "Canyon" (City) cuz of the little squiggle (tilde or enya) above the "n" (Spanish pronunciation). Also, it's Glenwood Springs, not just Glenwood (tho the man who founded the town named it after his hometown of Glenwood, Iowa, cuz he said it reminded him of his hometown (for some unknown reason...can't see the similarities)! I would tell you to do Glenwood Canyon but you'd better wait 'til the current fire there is finally put out. I do hope it doesn't make it less appealing to viewers cuz it is really something special, and at the time they constructed the other two lanes of the interstate thru the canyon, it was considered the biggest construction project in US history...maybe still is, I don't know for sure.

When I went to Vail this past Winter we stopped by Colorado Springs and went to the "Seven Falls". That place was pretty cool too. Aspen is nice as well

Yea, unfortunately I was unable to film seven falls. I did film a bunch of awesome waterfalls in my "Most beautiful waterfalls in Colorado" video

How on Earth is Garden of the Gods not on here? btw, I literally live 3 mins away from GOTG and see it every morning on the way to school. Its funny because I just see it as rocks. I've seen it so many times its not even special to me anymore. Of course it is, but its like that no matter what the object/place is. Its weird to think Millions upon Millions of people come to see the one rock, and yet I can walk 5 minutes to get to see it :)

+Daisy the Evil Chihuahua yeah, Garden of the Gods is pretty cool. Maybe next video. Although I won't be able to use the drone there.

Daisy the Evil Chihuahua Queens Canyon is just to the west of GOG, truly gorgeous. (But the xtians own it, and prohibit public access). And the guards at the GOG are mildly annoying, also limiting public access.

I had to chuckle when I saw hanging lake. Yes. It is absolutely amazing, I've been there so many times, because I live in the area. It's a great view. If you can survive the hike up to it😂 that's the tricky part

Hanging lake is gorgeous. I've hiked up there a few times. We were allowed to swim around in it about 20 years ago - it is freezing cold - but I doubt they still allow it.

Never been to Colorado but it is a beautiful beautiful place! The alpine lakes and mountains are what my dreams are made of, especially if I had a fishing rod in my hand and a glowing campfire ready for fresh trout.
