- Shenandoah River State Park in Bentonville, Virginia has a wonderful campground with 32 water & electric RV sites as well as cabins, yurts, and tent sites. The campground is located just minutes from the river and the park's famed Bluebell trail. There are 24 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horse back riding. Another bonus to this state park is its proximity to Shenandoah National Park. It is only a 10 minute drive to the Northern entrance station for the park.

Cool place! Thanks!
Thanks for watching, Brenda!
Thank you for the details, planning a trip next Fall. This was very helpful!
So glad!
Hi guys - Deb's sister lives just outside of Charlottesville, VA in Earlysville - We got to do a hike in Shenandoah and stopped at Veritas Winery after about 4 years ago. We will have to check out the campground the next time we are in the area as it would be a nice place to stay and visit. Chasing RV Sunshine 🌞Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
Charlottesville is a nice city. We have not been able to spend much time there, but we are going to head out there later this month to do some more exploring.
Your introduction to Shenandoah River SP was very helpful! Thanks for doing slow pans and nothing jerky! Could we launch our own kayak from the campground?
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I don't recall seeing a boat launch from the campground. There is one I'm sure of in the park, but you'd have to drive to it.
Looks like a beautiful campground! We just made reservations there as an alternative to staying in the National Park.
Enjoy! We think you'll really like it.
Do you know if the cabins have bathrooms in them?
Hi Jean. Thanks for watching. The cabins do have a bathroom/shower and a kitchen.
Is there an extra charge for adding tent campers to the site/
No, as long as you don’t exceed 6 people per site.
Hello, you mentioned the RV sites have water. Do you know if each camping cabin has a water spout?
Sorry, I don't know.
@@ChickerysTravels I was able to locate another video and yes, there are water spouts for each camping cabin. 👍
Can’t wait to go camping there!
We can’t wait for you to join us!
Beautiful place. Thanks for the info. Used to live in Newport News VA and we travelled in our pop-up through much of the VAs. Beautiful country. Unfortunately we are now on the wrong coast. Will plan to get their in the distant future. Love the sound of freedom! 🛩
Thank you, Terry. Julie was stationed at Langley AFB for a couple of years. I was stationed in Florida while she was there so I did not get to enjoy the area like she did.
I was stationed at Langley AFB from 92-98. I retired in 98.
We were in Shenandoah last spring. It is such a beautiful park. Just an amazing place to go to! Thanks for sharing. Lynn and Danny
Thanks for watching! We really enjoy Shenandoah. Julie hikes up there at least once a week. She is trying to hike all of the trails in the park.
Great video! I’ve always wanted to go to the Shenandoah Valley. This looks awesome. Have a great week! ❤️ Jane inSC
Thanks for watching and commenting Jane. Hopefully you can make it to the Shenandoah Valley soon!
