  • Rock song written by Curtis Stokes (Drummer) and John Hylas Smith (Guitar/Vocalist) for the rock band SLAMMER out of Boise, Idaho. Band also included Rhonda Stokes on vocals and keyboards along with Keith Ayers on vocals and bass. Recorded at 8Ball Studios in Boise, Idaho prior to the band's '77 Tour of the Southwest which included gigs in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Denton, Texas, Bastrop, Louisiana, and Jacksonville, Mississippi. Before there was ROKKER from Austin Texas, they were SLAMMER from Napa, Idaho. SLAMMER to there name from a line off John Lennon's Rock n Roll album. This video contains pics from SLAMMER gigs at The Happening in Napa, Idaho; Pop's Cigar Store; and Ann Morrison Park - Boise, Idaho.     Rokker's lone (and KILLER!) LP has a refrence to their past: "Daddy found out and he beat her with a hammer- now she's playing lead in a band called SLAMMER"...

    ROKKER lives on through fans like L. Salisbury. Celebrating 37 years of the release of the album "ROKKER" and still an underground fav 'round the world. Are you a ROKKER or a Wanker? Rok on !!!
