Love seeing the behind the scenes/day to day!...also a tip that will not come in handy until years later, is DO NOT take this time for granted! Your time on that boat will be mean more to you than you know. I sailed for a bit on the Pacific Coast around Mexico to Costa Rica etc. and look back now wishing I was getting tossed around, using a gimbaled stove and watching the best sunsets of my life again, any day! Sail on :)
Got yourself a new subscriber. Good seeing someone learning and making mistakes, makes it seem so much more authentic. Beautiful editing too
Karl Moresi Well, he still haven´t learn the most important thing. Even though people tells him all the time. Wear LiFE JaCKets!! Being the Captain he´s also responsible for the crew. That can be a BIG mistake. :(
Dylan the sailor man, he's go more muscles than Popeye the sailor man! I love all of your creations here on your UA-cam channel. Thank you so much for all of your content.
This is the best "fuck it, we're doing it" series on youtube. The spirit of adventure is way off the fucking charts. Good job.
I love FLORB so much that I'm going back and watching them all again.
Fan for life. This is my jam.
Love how you work so hard to get everything shipshape. Really impressive!
Just found your channel, great positive vibes, looking forward to watching more! And it’s just amazing how others can criticize your ambition. You got this brother!
Keep up the good work. It takes lots of time and a huge effort to make a neglected boat seaworthy and liveable. Never give up!
Hi guys, My wife and I have really been enjoying following you so far. And we've been thinking of a few ideas that we think your viewers would like to know more about.
The first is we'd like to challenge you to consider making a video about what you would do in a man overboard situation. Imagine one of you accidentally falling overboard, and the other having to recover you all by themselves. Imagine doing so with that person being unconscious. And then think of what it would be like to fall overboard in cold water while fully clothed and tethered. And then if you really want to challenge yourselves, do this at night. I think a lot of us out there who are living their lives vicariously through you would love to see that part of your adventure.
In the meantime, keep up the good work. I just started a UA-cam channel myself which I will launch in a couple of months all about sailing in a Cat Boat. Finding all those cozy, quaint coves, harbors and rivers that only a shallow draft sailboat can go. Keep up the good work and keep those videos coming. I am learning a ton from you and I wanted to thank you for that.
All the best, Jim and Donna Andersen, Cat Boat Adventures, Buzzards Bay Massachusetts
Lived on a few boats and ships when l was 1st married. Always check weather channel. Especially Valcano ,erupting . Ash will travel in atmosphere.
Captain Dylan indeed. Super video and i love the boat, so from now on it's maintenance, maintenance, maintenance! Stay safe and go with the wind. PS...for Ibiza, say 'eye-bee-tha'. Every day's a school day.
It's so beautiful what you guys do.
Back on the water! Next weeks video is really intense disaster at unforgiving sea a must watch! What Do you think about Javea raining mud? What's the weather like where you are?
Cool and rainy here in KY. Not like December at all. Stay safe guys!
Sunny, clear & chilly living on the Sacramento River in California. Great post! Bon Voyage...✌🏼🦆🐸🦉🦈 Godspeed!🙏🏼
Dylan Magaster it’s beautiful 65 degrees. Love the video
@@SlowBoatSailing Shoot me an email and lets do it! business@dylanmagaster.com
What you call mud rain is known here (mallorca) as red rain, its dust from the Sahara carried here with the wind and comes down in during the rain. Its annoying if you work on yachts and you wash down 150ft of sailing yacht only to wake up with a red boat and have to start the process again...
Amazing to watch and it looks like a dream sail. But it also looks like hard work and commitment.
Dylan you are so talented in fixing things on the boat. Also great you had extra help in repairs and painting the bottom of the boat.As all ways great video,Happy Holidays to you and your crew, and the subscribers of your channel.🎄
That Marina seems legit AF, very profesh
Dylan, sailing is agreeing with you . You are looking great ! Plus Jackson and Tara seem well and are still talking to you, so all must be good . I assume the plan is to continue refurbishing the boat as you go ? interesting. Looking forward to the next one !
“This is a.... tool” 😂
Hey this is really cool. What an adventure! Good for you guys. I hope you're all safe
NGL: He looks damn good!! 🔥🔥🔥
Love your videos. Thanks for sharing your experiences.. Great job on the boat..
Man all the respect to you and your crew! You are awesome dude!
wow! what a big mad adventure and experience! I wish I could join you guys! it seems like you handle your problems along the way with laughter, courage and patience. Thumbs up! Have a lot of fun! for me too ;-)
It rained dirt !?! your boat is Haunted!
Oh god, looking forward to the next vid! Amazing to see how you guys do all this.
Next Thursday! Share it with your friends!
Great channel! I love it
Omg I would love living like this
great video guys!
Dope video. Would love to see what it's like living with three people in such small quarters! Weren't yall strangers before the trick as well? Super interesting, keep the vids coming :)
Great vid and trip!
That was Awesome!
Bro, looking ripped. What are you doing on that boat? Just started keto with some interval cycling, hoping to lean out. Love all of your videos and have been a long time fan. I am working towards a van house! About to be 18, and super stoked on my new life!
I try to eat relatively Keto... Mainly meat and veggies with loads of fat. Lot's of eggs. Mushrooms supplements like lion's mane and Chaga. Moringa, Lemon, Curcuma and black pepper make a kick ass drink that's really good for "Cleansing" the body. Intermittent fasting, is supposed to be the really great for you, Good on ya. Cheers on ya life
So the old saying is true I guess.
You can only really afford a boat if you afford to sink it and buy a new one (in your case in spare parts and repairs)
Hi Jackson
Live your dream .
Hey you guys should check out "sailing catalpa" a young Aussie family sailing south east Asia in a concrete boat
How often do all those ropes have to be inspected ?
Think I'll re-watch this later. Sun's on the screen and I just discovered how dirty it is. Watching waves while nauseous doesn't help.
You been doing pushups? Arrrrrrr sailor!
Savage stuff, how long were you on the hard for? Fair play tearing through that work. What are you planning to do with the Aries?
Did you leave harbour by sails only ???
dope life
I'm sad you painted the pretty turquoise underside of your boat plain black! Oh well, I guess it doesn't show much anyways. Well, I'm enjoying your amateur sailing adventures nonetheless :)
Nice Video! How long did the repairs take and how much did they cost, if you don#t mind me asking?
Damn Tarzan
Hi Dylan, the tool that you used on the boat is a rotary tool called a dremel (probably spelled incorrectly).
Dylan..your a pro at sailing now👍😁good job
Didnt you get a survey when you bought the boat?
No, Part of the reason we were able to get such a good price
@@FloatingOrbProductions so basically rolling a dice ;)
That could explain why they had to buy a new engine in less than 3 months.. ua-cam.com/video/K1p4akJ953o/v-deo.html&ab_channel=DylanMagaster
Oh my............
What a crew of misfits... but glorious fun for sure OXOOXOX
Do you guy's net a Vet Navy guy?????
Voice breaks at 5:44 :D
looks like the girl that was on kombi life
Please don't dump chemicals in the ocean . That is where the sink drains .
Dylan,,, she is indeed beautiful but how long is it going to be before her hair or that flowing clothing she wears is going to get cought up in a winch or rigging or something,, could be very painful for her,, tie it up girl !!! ps ,, your vids are great
Dylan, would it have been cheaper if you bought a brand new boat in stead of a second hand? Since there is a lot to fix. I love the fixing content though
New boats cost very very much money. the fixing probably does not even come near to the price of a new one.
I am giving you a thumbs up for the shirtless moments, otherwise I will not sail with a couple of novices (as per the comments below)
Who came for the thumbnail?
Sailing looks expensive as fuck
First!
If you had to do it all over again would you consider buying a brand new boat? Just curious. You are learning a lot about boat repair but is it worth it?
Yes it is because you can fix everything in the future by yourself and safe a lot of money. A new boat cost very much money.
@Drag0nfart 224 I hear you, but you have to wonder how much more fun he could have by not dealing with constant heartache all the time in down time and repairs. He spent weeks in Croatia waiting on a new engine alone. The boat is nickle and diming him to death.
@Drag0nfart 224 I suppose you are right. Perhaps a happy medium? I don't know how much he is spending to bring it up to speed either.
what a mess. do not leave the dock.
Id say you NEED an EXPERT sailor with you until you are more than just a novice....FOR ALL YOUR SAFETY!!!
Wouldnt catch me on a boat with you at your level of sailing!! 👎👎😔🎄😁
He's still alive....sooo....there's that
Coward haha, they will be fine
Bologna. Hes doing just fine, just a huge learning curve. He has taken the ASA courses up to 104. I recommemd he takes the euro equivalent to 105 navigation.
Yeah, just what the world needs more of, EXPERTS. lol.
Ah, the mediterranean sea is ok, if you have a lifeboat.
Now the real ocean that is a different story. I wouldn´t want to be with them in the middle of the Atlantic ;)
In that way you unpack new things and make that mess around with the cartoon s? No educative at all, but karma pay you back in advance with that dirthy rain, showing you the same dirt you can produce around you so easy, thumbs down for that action
