I did the opposite journey, on a Friday evening, about 2 / 2.5 years back and I had a completely different experience to how it sounds like yours was. The LOT crew were effective and efficient with food and drinks on both legs. They did not hang around and try up-selling like on low-cost airlines, which, for me is great. As I stayed overnight in Vilnius, I went through customs twice and both times they did what they needed to do (the joys of travelling during Covid). I will definitely use this route and airline again as I found the whole experience great

Nice Trip Report. The E170/175/190/195 range of aircraft are normally configured in a 2-2 layout. It’s only the smaller ERJ135/145 that have the single seats, mainly due to the fuselage width. The misaligned windows on these planes are an issue. It seems to be the way they have been designed, they are very spaced out.✈️

Hey thanks AFUK - as per usual your superior knowledge there helping me out which is much appreciated 👏. I’m actually on a 145 this weekend, coming back from INV with Loganair. Now I know about the seats, I’ll see how the windows fare! Cheers 👍

How are the flights to LCy? Are they full? And how does LCY look now in the pandemic?

Hey Gabi, thanks for the comment! Yes the flight from Vilnius I would say was approx 40% full at the time of my visit and arriving at London City it was really quiet. I can’t imagine it being any busier now, probably worse tbh. But, LCY is always great for connectivity, straight onto the DLR and away. I’m supposed to be flying Alitalia from there in June so, in the unlikely event that happens, I’ll provide an update on this channel. All the best, Mark

@@LetsMakeaTrip Thank you for your response. I am booked to fly to Vilnius next week for two days, and I see on the schedule that there are only about 5 or 6 flights a day, so I wonder how it will go, I might post you after my trip. Thank you

    Hello :)
    Thank you for posting this,
Can you share some more details on the layover in Vilnius?
LOT is currently showing 40 mins for layover which includes passport control.
Do you reckon that is enough time? Bit hesitant to book due to this.
    TIA!

Hi Zohaib. Vilnius is not a big airport but it just seemed really disorganised when I was there. I would say 40 minutes is tight because there are so many variables that could go wrong (not just at Vilnius I guess). I would be reluctant to chance it personally. As a general rule I normally would like to give myself at least twice that time between flights or more, especially if I’m unfamiliar with the airport. Hope this helps.

@@LetsMakeaTrip Thank you soo much for the quick response and appreciate the advise. Was a bit lost if I should take this or not, instead went with a safer option of a direct one to Heathrow. The sad bit is that BA is not operating Warsaw London that week:(

@@zohaibtrueblue yeh, glad I could help. I should say I had approx 3-4 hours in the airport so time wasn’t a problem for me it was more a problem with not being able to access the lounge and no-one seemed to know what was going on or why. I think you doing the right thing and LOT themselves were fine, no issues, I would fly them again. All the best, Mark

My last flight with BA was to LCY. Since the UK was still in the EU I didn't have to wait so long at the immigration.

Hi ILL, and thanks for the comments. Yes, I like LCY, I was supposed to be flying from there to AGP next month but have had to change it. Not because of the airport but the train/flight times were making it a bit of a rush and these days, who knows how long it’s going to take to get through!
