- Today we shall elucidate the enigmatic deeds of Adeptus Astartes Chapter: the Raptors.
Experts of guerrilla warfare and espionage tactics alike to their Primogenitor, many an Astartes Chapter has derided the Raptors as cowards by virtue of their methods.
Masters of ranged warfare and ambush manouevres, regardless of the barbs thrown by their peers these sons of the Ravenlord continue serve with dignity in the name of the Emperor.

The Raptors are by far one of the most deadliest warriors of the Space Marines Chapter for they use their superior tactical mind to defeating every imaginable foe that the Imperium has ever faced, and while many others chapters will consider them cowardly they fight with a mind more benefitting their Father mind.
F
Amy known encounter with the Nids tho?
True, basically their version of the ork clan that uses stealth instead of all out WAAGHH
One of the dealiest? For sure.
Deadliest or most deadly, never most deadliest.
Ravenguard:
"World went s*it insane😢"
Raptors:
"World went s*it insane😑"
Reasonable Marines!
Man how disconnected must their cousin legions be, when a chapter of the emperor's angels mesh more with the human fodder than their fellow space marines. To be an auxiliary force attached to a space marine chapter or even to have them on speed dial is an immense honor.
For the Space Marines
ghost recon: space marine.
Could you imagine a game like this? You are the only soldier deployed to take over a planet. Take my money.
@@ManOfTheMint you either play as the raptors, necropolis hawks, or any other chapter that use tactics similar, rewarding stealth and assassinations over going in guns blazing (but the latter can be used)
@@ManOfTheMint Oh yeah!!!
@@LamiaLover Might be hard to make any attempt of stealth not totally ridiculous while playing a 2m50 - 1 ton of steel character.
In a line of a book, it work. But when you see it...
Pragmatic in their approach to war, sees the Codex Astartes as a simple guide, easily my favorite chapter.
As Guilliman intended
The parallels between The Raptors and the Alpha Legion are crazy
Right! I've read a few Alpha Legion books and was like, waaait a minute 🤔🧐...
Pretty much everything but pale skin and dark hair screams Alpha Legion.
OH BOY ITS [RATIONAL THINKING]. MY FAVORITE!
Underrated post
the raptors are at there best when placed opposite to there tactics, its amazing to go from a blood hungry marine roaring battlecrys to then a small team of efficient killers who seek to do there job as efficiently as possible with little to no fanfare
-Somehow escaped the Raven Guard Genekerfuffle with the Alpha Legion.
-Had their planet blown up in "a" Black Crusade. Won't clarify which one.
-Returned seemingly from nowhere after assumed extinct.
-Doesn't disclose their homeworld's location. Supposedly in an unnavigatiable area of space.
-Laughs at modern standard Astartes tactics. Heavy use of infowar, espionage, and independent cell structures in wars.
Hmmm, maybe we should try asking for any brothers named Alpharius among their ranks.
Thanks for the video.
alpharius? I dont know any aplharius, our... MY name is Omegon
"One bullet can change everything" - Lias Issodon.
Pair them with the Tanith first and only for the perfect guerilla/scout force
The Catachans would most likely want to be part of that too.
Mkoll will probably want to test every raptor anyway to see if they're good enough for the scouts
I think that when the Raptors take out the Alpha Legion, they should bring cameras. The looks on the faces of the Alphas when the walls and shrubbery start attacking? Priceless.
Be great when the raptors realize some of their number amongst them are actually Alpha legion also..
I love that other chapters criticiz the raptors for how the ues the codex but the codex was written and intended by gullimun be used as a guide to warfare, not a strict set of rules. The ultramarines learned that the hard way when the tyranids attacked ultramar.
Guilliman would have a field day with these guys.
There’s a white dwarf that mentioned something about Guilliman and the Raptors use in the Indomutes fleet.
"The Codex astartes is absolute"
Raptors: Look at this nerd...
Always good to see Chapters seeing the Codex for what it is, guidelines and nothing more
Finally, my favorite stealth snipers ❤
Hmm, a Raptors - Lamenters team up would be fairly spectacular.
chapters from both sides of the Badab wars working together after all that? I can imagine some of those staff meetings being awkward
Warhammer 40k's Marine scout snipers or rather the Sniper ghost warriors of 40k.
#deadandgone
My Army! I have 4000 points of Raptors(mostly built and painted) ! Thank you for covering them
Based
Are your Raptors posted on Instagram or Reddit? Would love to see them.
@judsonbates1359 I haven't yet, little self conscious. Once I finish my Gladiator tank. I might
Awesome, show us! I’m at 2800 pts of raptors now
I’d like to think they weren’t married to the idea of strictly wearing camo green, just that’s all we’ve seen them wage war in because of their environment. It’d be cooler if they were in the desert, they painted their armour tan, in artic conditions white, etc….
Disappeared after a black crusade destroyed their world. Came back 2 millennia later full strength.... and theyre awesome!
1. Plussed up by Alpha legion loyalists.
2. They were destroyed, and an alpha legion detachment painted their armor a different green. Whether it be apart of a larger ploy to subvert the imperium or to spread out a new more based imperial truth.
3. Cawls first crack at primaris by combined alpha legion and ravenguard geneseed.
If any U.S. vets were to be reincarnated into the 40k verse. This is where they went.
@@GenStallion yes we do
Ah yes, the intelligent marines
One of the best description i've read of the Raptors is that they are super soldiers, rather than warrior monks.
By far my fav chapter, at some point i even considered getting some miniatures and create a ultima founding successor of them, i even had the entire backstory figured out.
I've always liked the Raptors. Liked the Raven Guard too.
Imagine, a force of super soldiers that fight using actual military tactics instead of the standard, "run in, guns blazing, swords swinging, roaring battle cries" brute force approach the rest of the Imperium favors.
I can scarcely imagine how many deadly enemies could be eliminated if other chapters took this approach: Feints, counterattacks, use of deception, use of decapitating strikes, use of cover, camouflage, booby traps, misdirection and snipers.
On top of all that, being a superhuman able to rip a man's arms off.
I wonder if they ever stood by their brothers along with the Revilers and Death Eagles when Waaagh Garaghak prepared to approach Deliverance.
If they ever continue this storyline it would be a neat storyline comparable to Devastation of Baal where the Sanguinary Brotherhood stood together.
This time it would be the Scions of the Ravenlord fighting together as one after millenias.
Emperor: "YES! THIS! THIS IS WHAT I WANTED THE ASTARTES TO BE!"
I like this chapter. No nonsense, logical, and you earn your position.
By far my favourite chapters are the 2nd founding Ravenguard boys. Love the Raptors, Revilers and Black Guard.
Still wish there was a detachment for either the Imperial Guard or Space Marines which let you mesh forces. Realize it would be unbalanced, but still cool
When Space Marine 2 comes out, I’m definitely making a Raptor as my tactical marine.
@@codyconnor6981 the army rangers of the space marines
@@heronwhisky more like scout snipers really or force recon
This was great! One of the coolest astartes chapters! Very badass that they kick it with the gaurd! Appreciate you giving them a solid ten minutes! Gracias Rem!
Aww yiss, Remembrancer talking about muh bois; today is a good day!
As a son of corvus corax I know he would be proud of you, o great remembrancer victorus Aut Mortis... 🤫😶🌫️🖤
I don't know much but that's why i am here lock and load 😎👊
The Raptors are Alpha Legion. Look thru their "history", the way they fight, how they will fight alongside others but considered "cowards" as they avoid casualties, hidden command, stable geneseed (after AL encounter), etc etc They behave exactly how an AL infiltrated chapter would act.
Thought the same way, sounds like it was rebuilt by alpha legion agents, most are probably from Raven guard geneseed but assisted unknowingly.
Agapito Nev would disagree with you. Since he and his brother Branne(the first Commander of the Raptors) pretty much purged them.
@@gamechanger8908 I would agree, but at the same time it isn’t like the alpha legion wouldn’t be capable of doing so again. Even with a different allegiance. Especially a chapter that’s usually secluded.
@@gamechanger8908 10k years they have spent infiltrating the imperium. How far up the chain have they infiltrated in that time? Chapter masters were neophyte at one time. Any an all could be AL. Like all other chapters, the AL take things to the extreme. So you can imagine they have their eyes an ears as far up the chain as it gets at this point. There aren't many "stable" geneseeds at all. Anytime stable geneseed in abundance is "discovered" you have to wonder which of the stable geneseed did it come from. Ultra marines? Hell naw, they'd know if they had lost geneseed, without a doubt. Or does it make more sense that the mysterious geneseed was "found" because it was placed there to be found. The AL had one of the largest legions, when heresy kicked off. They retained their homeworld, never suffered mass casualties, etc. People ignore jus how powerful a group the AL is. They could cripple the imperium from within, an no one would know it was happening until it was to late to change it. They haven't because Alpharius is loyal.
@@fallenunit5189 so Alpha Legion helping a Raven Guard successor purge Alpha Legion. Sounds like some Legion civil war.
Wooo...Hooo!
Many thanx Master Narrator.
Go Birds 👍👍
Ghost Recon 40k lol

"Heh. Who cares? Not me. My tactics bring me victories, and that is my honour. Haters will hate, anyway."
Some Raptor, probably.
wish there were novels focusing on these guys
One thing i like about the raptors is how the first thing they do is take command of any local Astromiltarum a it almost like they actually know how to command non super solgers something space marine suck at cause they useylly leave them behind put in position that only space marine can survive or outright ditch them cause they think yhere useless
If only someone told Leandros this before space marine 2
I don't care what anyone says, The Raptors are my favorite chapter.
Long range space sharks
1:45 bruh this is the first art i see with the Mk VI power armor's helmet from the front and it looks so cursed
I love this chapter and your videos keep up the good work dude
The yin to the Black Templars yang.
This has always been my favorite chapter.
Def one of my favourite chapters
A Raptor-Mentors team up would be too much for the setting.
My favorite chapter!
YES MY FAV CHAPTER
Green Berets of 4Oks! 🤗
💕 Raptors💕
My guys!! I just got done painting some infiltrators and gonna go for some eliminators next.
👍True Special Forces!
The raptors have learned their lesson from their nigh annihilation at the hands of the alpha Legion, becoming secretive and unpredictable. They also learned corax's dogma of indipedence and adaptability. I wonder if their warp tainted brothers are still alive.
The most practical minded!
Oh I see now, I thought it was weird how their chapter was called raptors even though they have an eagle so I searched it up on google, it's another name for birds of prey like an eagle. What a cool chapter.
Wait how do you do espionage as a Space Marine, you don't exactly blend in to crowds
They should use the tainted geneseed. The mutant Raptors during the Horus Heresy were cool AF.
Use tainted geneseed? Oh kark no! They are stable, and that is good.
Awesome chapter
AKA the Reasonable Marines.
The raptors are either the least autistic or the most autistic chapter in 40k
We sure they are only raven guard!
Seems like they would still work well with brother raven guard
The raptors are soldiers, not warriors
ALGORITHM
4:03, what's the gun in the right hand of the Astartes? Bolt rifle?
Reasonable marines!
Was there a space Marine company in Warhammer 42K whose armor was turquoise and white?
@@mumhamannaistiekrem6963 yes, the Necropolis Hawks
@@tahakhan8988 Thanks for replying😅
No outro quotes???
Black Templars would NOT like them
Yes they don't like the raptors when they were fighting side-by-side on Armageddon
03:53
What is the red beret for, on the head of a Raptor, please?
Probably something about being able mastering to become a commando
Same
The Codex really is a stupid book.
i am calling BS on Primarius being a boon to them. the fat marines are incredibly inflexible, & would be a hindrance to their normal way of war
Is more to how many more teams they can have Deploy at the same time
It’s not that i dislike them but sensible marines just don’t make a lot of sense in the setting. The lore just seems a bit Mary sue now to me, they’re *too* good for 40k. If everyone just did what made sense in 40k, you wouldn’t have titans. Or some glowing skeleton on the mother of all bidets.
Awesome
If an enemy has to fight both Catachan Jungle Fighters, Mantis Warriors, _and_ the Raptors, they will never know what hit them.
Gulliman might tell them "eh, my book is outdated anyway. You're good."
100% sure I found my next Kill Team.
Out of all the chapters that I’ve seen while joining 40k, the raptors have to be my favorite. In such a war torn world, sensibility is a weapon that they use to its greatest extent. If ever one day I get into painting models this would definitely be the chapter I’d want to start off with.
Favorite chapter confirmed
😊
These guys are a favorite!
"The Americans" in space 😂
