Same, most movies, games and other entertainment media have a hard time getting tears out of me, and i think Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 1 and 4 are the only games to have made me cry.
Cried my ass off. I think it's so emotional because we spend the whole game invested in the development of Lee as a character. We are his conscience and his moral guide and we take part in his struggles to survive and keep Clem alive. So the loss is especially hard. My heart sank the second he was bitten because I knew they were setting us up for a heart-wrenching ending. Even though I knew it was coming, I was still surprised just how hard it hit me.

I am such a huge fan of Telltale games, the game art style is amazing and the story lines are fucking amazing. (I own the wolf among us) one of the many that i could get my hands on. This lack of commentary is a perfect atmosphere, and I can't express enough how i love this game series! Need to hurry up to season two because i got work tomorrow and its already 9 pm!
I think the game version is even better than the tv series. It's much more dramatic than the tv series. And i bet that me and everyone else wish that Lee wouldn't have to die.

I find it interesting that this season started with Lee in handcuffs, only to end with him in handcuffs. Also, he shot the walker cop in the head with a gun, only for Clem to shoot him in the head at the end as well -- now that's a symbolic closing! What a great storyline. I love both Lee and Clem.
Episode 5 ends on a brilliant book end with how the whole game began. What's the first thing Lee had to do? Get himself free from handcuffs and shooting a zombiefied cop. A walker cop is the final hazard of the season, and putting handcuffs back on (on Lee or on the walker) are the last important things you do. And that's not the only one in retrospect: -At the start of the game Lee first sees Clementine as a shadowy figure in the distance. At the end Clementine sees...somebody in the same way. -At first, Clementine gives Lee a hammer to kill the zombie babysitter. At the end, Lee rolls Clementine a bat to kill the walker cop. -Related to the first thing above: what was the first thing you did after getting out of the cop car at the beginning of the game? Limp forward, injured, using the body of the police car for support. What's the first thing you do after waking up in the final room? Limp forward, injured, using the display case for support. Jeez Telltale, you really do think of everything.
The Chaos Dragoness The funny thing is, the developers stated they didn't even INTEND to use the handcuffs as a callback to Lee's introduction, at least, not initially. They originally added the handcuffs at the end because they needed a way for the player to restrain the zombie in the chair. The next question they asked was, "okay, what else can we use the handcuffs for?" That's when they saw Lee and noticed the parallel. Notice how the camera automatically angles the view so that you, the player, would feel a greater tendency to use the handcuffs on Lee instead of the zombie.
The emotional pay off in this game is outstanding, and I get "the feels" every time I see the ending. This game deserves every right to be called the game of the year.
Guys, ima be honest... I wept real tears at the end of this, and let me tell you, it takes a lot to make me cry... when Lee said ill miss you and that gunshot went off. I ABSOLUTELY LOST IT FAM...
This was so sad. I appreciate how, even though the ending was fucked up, at least it was realistic. I wished we could have seen Clem get out of there and find Christa and Omid.

HassanAlHajry I don't think I've ever cried this hard over video game characters. Amazing walkthrough; Lee and Clementine's father-daughter relationship was by far the best part of this season. Also, I loved the choices you made! It's easy to tell that you care a lot about Clementine's character particularly, you consistently made choices that were for her best interest, that made Lee overprotective at times, and you never wanted to scold her or yell at her whenever she did something bad or went missing. I would have made the same choices! Clementine stole my heart. Can't wait to start season 2, thanks for the walkthroughs! I watch them like a movie because I'm too chicken-shit to play the game myself, lol. +1 subscribed.
I don't mean to bring race into this but I thought it was really refreshing to see an African American character so complex and fleshed out rather than just a caricature or stereotype. It was nice to see Lee as a person rather than just his race as well as Clementine and Christa. It was a nice touch among the other brilliant things that Telltale has done with this game. I was also really glad that Kenny was beginning to come to terms with losing his family and allowing himself to heal as well as start to reconcile with Lee. I just wish (as cliché as it may sound) that Ben would've proven himself before his death. I also hope that in Season 2 they explore Clementine's talks with The Stranger. I think it would be interesting to see her talk to him as if it were a form of therapy since according to him that's how he found out about most of the stuff that she's gone through. Anyways sorry for the paragraph I just really enjoy analyzing things.
I'm a non gamer but love to watch these walkthroughs and was recommended this and WOW that ending just about broke my heart into a thousand pieces and for a game about zombies this was the most human thing I've seen.

She was able to shoot a moving target (walker) who was attacking Molly in Ep. 4 from nearly 10 feet away but is unable to shoot Lee who is stationary and a foot away from her? Even if she somehow missed, you're telling me that instead of shooting him again to make sure he doesn't turn she just walks off and leaves him to reanimate? Clem would NEVER do that...

Depending on the decisions you make in this game, Kenny can turn out to be quite a dick! I can't believe that he wouldn't help Lee get Clementine in some of the alternate versions, just because you don't agree with him about certain things in the past. In my opinion, this shows how much of dick Kenny kind of is. Don't get me wrong, if you make the right choices, Kenny turns out the to be pretty great. I like him, as a character, but he's so stupid sometimes. I mean regardless of whether you like someone or not, saving a life (especially a little kid) is always a priority. Kenny's attitude about it was horrible, and pathetic.

How the hell is Clementine nine? In the first episode it says she's in first grade, which means she'd realistically be 6-7 when this whole thing started and I don't think it's been more than a year, if that.

"The Walking Dead" Season 1 is such, for my part, the best video game ever from Telltale Games. It's crazy how we can become attached to the characters of this game like Lee & Clem as well as Kenny & Ben... It's sad that Lee, Kenny & Ben died at the end of the episode. Keep up the good work!!!

Something about this game itself I genuinely just have THE ABSOLUTE softest spot for Clem she’s just a child who got wrapped in all this and she just becomes so much more stronger and yes I’m proud but I just hate seeing this little girl losing people
Depending on the decisions you make in this game, Kenny can turn out to be quite a dick! I can't believe that he wouldn't help Lee get Clementine in some of the alternate versions, just because you don't agree with him about certain things in the past. In my opinion, this shows how much of dick Kenny kind of is. Don't get me wrong, if you make the right choices, Kenny turns out the to be pretty great. I like him, as a character, but he's so stupid sometimes.
I mean regardless of whether you like someone or not, saving a life (especially a little kid) is always a priority. Kenny's attitude about it was horrible, and pathetic.

I came back to rewatch the gameplay because I missed TWD so much. Anyway, I forgot how this series itself tugs at your heartstrings. You have no idea how many times I've cried.
