- This week on History of the Marvel Universe, we're looking at the origin and history of the master of illusion, Mysterio! Quentin Beck, Daniel Berkhart, and Francis Klum! Not only that but we'll reveal the secret identity of Mad Jack, as well as his (or her?) connection to Mysterio!

Could you do marvels slingers or kraven the hunter
Comic books have hurt society by making them think evil is well planned. Like the brain in pinky and the brain. In truth evil is just desperate and empty folks who are so weak that they need our validation like we're their mommy or God. From their they hurt others who look vulnerable to look stronger to us.
Racism and homophobia comes from that. The new bigotry of attacking druggies using racism reasoning of some are bad so all are bad. It's just creepy. I ride solo a lot and idiots try to bigot that. I toe the line of science and talk logic outloud a lot and these same type of marks try to bigot talking outloud like a KKK member attacking a black. Evil is just desperation and never well planned like in the comics. They put not feeling bad from.being wring before anything....all.while being too dumb to know bettering themselves and fixing their mistakes instead of covering up, us the only right answer.

Mysterio does have a unique design ⚪
Easily my favourite Spider-Man villain alongside Electro, although I think Mysterio is the better character of the two.
What makes Mysterio such a unique villain is that he's probably the first villain to be self aware in comics, with the characters even acknowledging his goofiness in his first appearance, and with the costume being purely for show he's really not needed too much of an update or redesign over the years, heck even the MCU knew that and kept his design fairly close. Compare that to say the Green Goblin or Vulture who'll probably never look close to their comic counterparts on film.
I sure hope they pull from the comics and have Quentin Beck's death in the MCU be fake, it would be such a waste if it isn't the case

One of the greatest storylines to feature Quentin Beck was Kevin Smith's Guardian Devil !
We all like to joke about the fish bowl helmet but no one forget he is one of the few villains to take down the x-men in one reality. Formidable as he is funny! Love it
Old Man Logan?
Mysterio is my favorite Spider-man villain of all time. I really love the episode, "The Menace of Mysterio" from the '67 cartoon series, especially loved the great battle those 2 had.
As a child, I was always in awe with Mysterio's illusions. I loved seeing those crazy giant creations, making the stories feel like he wasn't just another supervillain that wanted to kill Spider-Man using conventional weapons such as guns or blades. He made magic feel real.
Now as an adult, I see that the best part about Mysterio is Quentin Beck himself. He's just a kid that fell in love with the craft of filmmaking, and he grew up to create some of the greatest special effects ever made. And that's a big accomplishment because unlike others, Quentin is just a human like us, meaning he isn't some mage, machine, mutant or alien that creates impossible stuff to exist. His work is as real as he is.
I believe that's what Stan Lee and Jack Kirby thought of when making this character. They wanted to give this feeling that not only makes Quentin relatable, but also makes him believable. Mysterio is a masterpiece of illusions, but Quentin Beck is the great wonder of creations.

Wow, I never knew that much about Mysterio. But I loved how his suit looked in Spider-Man TAS.

Mysterio vs Daredevil is pretty messed up
What would happen if Mysterio used his illusions on someone like Kraven the Hunter and the Chameleon, would it work on them? Can you do history of Kraven the Hunter and the Chameleon?
Well, that was ... convoluted. Exactly how Quentin Beck would want to be remembered. I mean known. Feared?
Still, all the canon retconning in the world won't explain the number of times Beck got away with "really just a robot all along". I like the Mysterio character but he's be a billionaire if he marketed his own line of bots. It all started in Amazing Spider-man number 1 where Beck made a bunch of robot X-Men for some reason. Somehow, in some way. Doom gets to be the Trope Namer but with Doom, it's all brilliance, ego and paranoia. Perfectly in character in why he'd do it, how he'd do it and then keep it to himself.
Beck "I can make intricate machines of dazzling circuitry! And then use it to rob a bank somehow!" Beck, we love you but crime doesn't, what's the word here, pay.
In Nick Spencer's run he became film maker, so at least he found success elsewhere
If you really think about it, Quentin is pretty much just an artist, taking what others had already done and putting a different skin on top of it. With the number of life model decoys running around all the time, all he would need is to steal them and half the job would already be done. Also, it's hard to say what exactly could Quentin do besides stealing, unless he made a big gambling complex where he gets money from clients like a cassino, then he wouldn't need to resort to being a thief. The only other things he could accomplish is maybe selling some stuff for the authorities and even criminals, basically turning him into a weapons dealer, or just making entertainment.
